I wanted to try out a second deck after being into Cardfight Vanguard for awhile (and because I'm a sucker for pretty cards)
While studying the cards of this deck, the thought of soul charging to use effects that become available when you've taken at least four out of six damage seemed too slow and risky. However, because I wanted to try out a second deck after being into Cardfight Vanguard for awhile (and because I'm a sucker for pretty cards), I decided to try it out. Turns out that some of the cards were surprisingly fun to use, and the general strategy is often very effective when you use your cards right. Some grade 3 card effects require riding those cards (which you can do with grade 3 or 4 cards), but they are very powerful. Also, improving this deck with other cards--or even more of some of the same cards as those included--was relatively inexpensive. I very much enjoyed playing the game in a way that, for me, was amusingly different.

Good soul charge, not enough soul blast.
I only saw a brief summary of the Genesis clan mentioning them using soul blasting as their main strategy. I decided to get this trial deck because I think its a pretty fun mechanic. This deck does have a nice amount of soul charging power. By the end of a game with a friend trying out this deck, the soul was stacked pretty large. The only problem is that this deck barley had any soul blast abilities apart from Grade 3 cards that was still locked by a 4 damage limit break condition. This led to a game where we didn't really get to use that high stacked soul which kills the point of all that charging. That means this deck isn't really as fun to use right out of the box without getting a few more support cards to actually make use of its high soul charging power. There is also one card, Apple Witch Cider, who has an ability that only activates with a Regalia Vanguard but the deck only has one Regalia unit so we can't really use the ability without getting more Regalia cards to support it.Overall, it showcases nicely the Genesis clan's power to soulcharge, but this deck alone isn't much fun to play by itself without some support cards.
