Fireflies (Pebbles Plus; Nocturnal Animals) Paperback – July 31, 2011

So many interesting facts and photos. My grandkids (ages 5-8) love reading it. Highly recommend it!

Age-appropriate scientific explanation of how fireflies light up. My grandson, who is three, is moving to a state where he will see fireflies and I bought this book and a tee-shirt to give him an experience to look forward to since moving can be difficult. The book is just right for him and I have been asked to read it to him several times. I can’t wait to hear from him when he sees his first firefly.

So cute for young ones. Good illustrations.

Our 3 year old son enjoys finding fireflies in the evenings. The book, along with a bug net, a firefly flashlight, and a little bug house work together when he is learning about fireflies.

I teach a camping unit for 5 year olds and we learn about insects you see at night. I appreciate the simple text and great photographs.

Great book! I love the photographs! Very informational! The only bad thing was that it was placed in a bendable cardboard wrap instead of a box & was bent. It has a permanent crease now.

My Kindergarten class was reading about a different insect each day for the week. I needed a story about fireflies! Loved this book. Perfect for introduction to fireflies. It was on their level. Not too wordy or overfilled with facts. Beautiful photographs! Kids really enjoyed it.

This book has excellent photos however the actual information in the book is minimal. If you just want gorgeous photos with a few fun facts about fireflies, this is perfect. If you’re looking for something informative, I would choose something else.
