I have my old paperback Hans Wehr bought at Foyles in 1976. I have always had to treat it with great care but this version is a big step forward that should have been done much sooner. Very pleased with it.

In my endevour to find the best Arabic to English dictionary, I have come across quite a few, but Hans Wehr Dictionary provides the grammatical details i.e the 10 verb patterns for a verb or derivations of the verbal nouns, roots etc. Other dictionaries will simply list the words irrespective of their source and root and other possible derivations. This is must have for the serious learners of Arabic Language.
