Good battery operated emergency light, lights up the first floor rooms very well.

Purchased one in April of 2019 and it worked great and was pretty solid. So, decided to purchase two more for storms, blackouts, etc. (no camping, just home-stuff). The two just received: not as well made as April; too much plastic and on one the bottom cup where you insert 4 D batteries would not open. I returned this one. The other one was also hard to open but it did with some effort. We kept that one and hope for the best. On positive note: brightness is excellent (has two options) so we will live with the negatives.

I was warned that this was exactly what the headline says, but we needed something fast and got these anyway. On the positive side, the light is bright enough for home emergency use, which is why we got them. The design and manufacturing is horrible. If I need to replace the batteries in the dark (or even in the light) it's a long and aggravating process. They did not design the battery pack for easy use, which really brings this product down a few stars for us. It's all cheap plastic, and made in China, which is another downer. It will provide light in the dark for now, but I can't depend on these if we need light and the batteries are done. I'm not so sure that it will even survive being dropped. So basically it's only good until the batteries die. Then it's another 30 minute affair to replace them. This isn't your grandfather's Coleman.

Heavy with four batteries. XL is probably more than needed. Very useful for power outages, attics and camping.

A charming family arrived just before sundown. With little time to set up their tent, I offered my Coleman lantern & a flashlight. My neighbor—Jeremy applauded the bright Coleman light, so I gifted it to his family with raccoons lurking. Appreciative, the midnight stroll to the nearby washroom was very well illuminated.

This lantern is fantastic. We purchased after the last power outage left us searching in the dark for a flashlight. We didn’t want to get stuck in that same situation and we are prepared. This is a bright light with two lighting options. Would recommend 100%

Excellent. Just as described and very speedy delivery. Very little information on rechargeable battery option. However, I am pleased with the product.

Completely unsatisfied, the unit does not come with wall charger, and usb cable to recharge the unit like the add states.Only works with batteries
