Excellent quality and service
Excellent knife. Food preparation is much easier and quicker and better results. Buying cheap is always a mistake, it is well worth paying extra for this kind of quality. I would like to see a 80 to 90 mm paring knife of the same quality.

Still sharp after six months
It’s a lovely knife, the blade shape is practical and the Damascus steel is nicely veined with varying degrees of carbon and colour. The weighting makes it easy to use, there is good balance and it is not too heavy. It is still sharp after six months of daily use. It dices dense veg such as turnip easily. Would buy this knife again without a second thought.

Its very sharp ... but fragile, metallurigcal powder core, foil overlay, not a cleaver...
Sharp and beautiful, very good at cutting up vegetables but I use a thimble when I do because it is so sharp and I am sometimes clumsy.EDIT... 2 years later and the knife blade shattered. I admit I got cocky and was using a beech mallet to cleave slow cooked but frozen meat chunks on an ash chopping board, which I have done dozens of times with the plate steel knife in the photo. This is why I deduct one star, to echo my disappointment. It is partly my fault but if the steel was that good it would not shatter like this on frozen soft meat with no bones. I am sad, it was a good vegetable knife. The thing which is worrying me is where the other bit of steel blade went, as the missing chunk split into two fragments and I only recovered one of them!EDIT + I took a photo of the fracture with a loup and it shows a metallurigcal powder core and steel foil overlay, which bears the patterning described as "Damascus". That is why it shattered and produced the semicircular fracture visible in the photo. This is not Damascus steel in the historic sense. Though I respect the artistry which has gone into this knife, a true Damascus steel knife, like my plate steel knife, would not have shattered.
