No, will mot work outside, it will breakdown and degrade, fall apart. You could cover maybe 50 square feet with aprox 3/8 to 1/2 inch.

How long does it stay workable after mixing with water?

Ive read it stays workable like Nager if you use very cold water. I’d mix in smaller batches. You could have next batch pre measured
