I have two 12 oz. smoothies every morning and I use these straws. They hold up fine and I can just throw them out afterwards, knowing they're environmentally friendly due to being paper. I'm sure if you left one of these straws in a drink overnight, they would get soggy and start to break down, but for drinking a glass or two of something, they are GREAT!

Kids in my family collectively relayed the wish that I'd quit using plastic straws. I did, and I am so happy with the choice! First, I feel much better about straws that don't present a hazard to animal life. Secondly, I'm happy with a solution that is substantially less likely to destroy our planet. Thirdly, I am ecstatic we can still use lidded cups to contain the mess potential we have mastered. :-) These straws are flexible to fit in almost any lid, and they remain sturdy in an iced, cold, or room temp beverage for hours (haven't tried any warm or hot drinks). Highly recommended!

Study paper straws. Last in my drink all day without falling apart. Also, it's a great deal. You get 600 straws for about $10.

I purchased these for my classroom, not for use as a straw. We used them to build marble mazes (the straws creating the path and obstacles for the marbles). These straws glue easily and can be cut easily with children's scissors. We love that they are friendlier to our planet and for our ongoing projects, they have performed GREAT!

These are the only straws that I have found that doesn’t have any type of weird ingredients for the glue. These are completely biodegradable.
