Great stuff!
Follow the directions and watch the YouTube videos as recommended and you will have no problems. I did find that once the chain comes out of the hot wax and starts to harden it can be difficult to remount the chain. This is because the wax can clog the spaces between the links and can cause some slippage when changing gears. That was the first time I used the was. The next time - I had 3 chains to clean - I wiped the chain down lightly as it came out of the hot wax while it was still hot and that made a big difference avoiding the clogging issue.Waxing the chain with the Silca Mystery wax was the best thing I ever did for my chain. It is so quiet and does not pick up road grime as with other lubricants. After a ride use a microfiber cloth and run the chain through it a couple turns and you will take off surface dirt- and be amazed at how clean the cloth remains. Worth the $$.

Enjoying this product very much
When I heard about the full immersion process for bicycle chains I was intrigued, and now that I’ve done it for six months, I’m fully converted and could never see going back to putting oil on my chains and having to constantly clean them from the dirt they collect.Once you pick up a cheap crockpot at the local Goodwill, and just get used to wiping down your chain with a microfiber cloth and some denatured alcohol after every ride and applying the Silca super secret drip on wax on every roller, just like you would do with if you’re using oil, it’s no big deal, the process is easy and I now enjoy cleaning the chain, putting on the drip on lube, and then every 200 miles for each chain, completely doing the immersion in hot wax and starting over again, knowing that the chain is not deteriorating and is not wearing out the chain rings and cassette on my bike. It’s also nice to know that every time I ride the bike it’s super quiet and smooth, and you know that your expensive chain rings and cassette are not getting worn out as you ride.I recommend having three chains that you cycle through so that you can ride basically 600 miles, or 200 miles with each chain, before switching over to the next chain. You should go to the Zero Friction Cycling website to get more information about how to properly maintain your chains using the full immersion method.

Game changer.
Clean, quiet, easy to install, long lasting and the best part is no more black, greasy brushes, towels, hands, etc. from chain grease. My entire bicycle care operating area is so much cleaner and free of waste.

Don't be intimidated by hot wax... it's a game changer
This was my first experience with hot wax and it went great. The hardest part was cleaning and de-greasing the chain and drivetrain. Once that was done the hot wax portion was easy.I bought a cheap 2 QT crock pot, put the wax in and set the chain on top. It did take 4 hours or so to fully melt the wax but it needs to be on low. I suspect a larger crock pot may melt faster, but it's easy enough to set it up in the morning and let it slow cook away. After "breaking" the chain and putting it back on the bike it was pretty stiff, but after a few minutes riding it was fine. I used an old paintbrush to wipe the little wax particles off the bike and went for a 16 mile ride. It's amazing... no creaking or noise at all and smooth shifts. Sure all of this can be accomplished with any lube, but being able to brush off the chain and drivetrain and wipe my hand down it with ZERO grease is what I signed up for.Silca hot wax is great... now to see how long before my next dip.

Down the waxing rabbit hole I go
I bought this after doing a lot of online research about chain waxing. I recently got a new bike and wanted to wax the chain while it and the drivetrain were still clean and had very little oil on them.I used a cheap slow cooker on a low setting, melted the wax, and submerged the chain. I let it soak in the melted wax for an hour then took it out and let it drip and dry for a day before putting it on my bike.I love riding with a waxed chain. It's super quiet and smooth. I can't compare this to other brands of chain wax, but I know this works very well.

love this stuff
once you figure out how to wax a chain and get the method down well this stuff is amazing and really easy to use. I have waxed 3 chains in total with this stuff and don't see myself needing to get another bag of this stuff for a really long time.as for how it feels on the bike once you knock off the outer layer of wax and make the chain flexible again and then ride it for about 3-4 miles it feels great for the next 100 miles or so being really smooth and not making any weird noises. though if it is your first time with a waxed chain just know that the chain will sound different then it would after a really good normal lubing and will sound a little louder; however the feel of the chain itself will be very smooth and good.I definitely recommend this stuff and chain waxing if you are someone who rides in dry conditions or someone who has other options for when it rains since I feel that riding in dry with a waxed chain is really the only way to make it worth it overall due to the increase work needed for a waxed chain.

Better than expected.
So finally got out on one of my bikes that I recently shifted over to a waxed chain instead of wet lube. I was completely blown away by how quiet my drivetrain is now and the shifting is definitely better. We will see how things go with how long the wax lasts, but from everything I have seen online for re-applying the wax, it seems pretty simple and effortless. Looking forward to no more messy grease on my drive train and no more chain tatoos from my chain. Thanks Silca for a great product.

Slick, smooth, and clean
The best way to keep your drive train running quiet and smooth. No more oil, grime, and grease fingers. Wax is the best way to go. I simply put a cut or so into a vac seal bag with the chain and throw it in a pot of hot water. Bazinga.
