Basically I wanted to connect my Lenovo Thinkvision M14 monitor to my desktop pc through Displayport of the GTX1070, i.e. transmit signal from Displayport > Type C. There is just no signal from all 3 Displayports of the GTX1070. At the end, I had to seek other alternative which is to buy a PCIe based type-c alt mode out utilising the Displayport of the GTX1070 and it finally worked!Price during review: £49.95Please take a second to hit the helpful button as it makes taking the time to write the review worthwhile :)

I can confirm that you can connect a PC to LG 24" UltraFine 4K Display for Mac(model LG 24MD4KL). This LG monitor has only USB-C connections and you need this Bidirectional cable for it to connect. I have a RTX2070 Founder Edition. I can confirm it works at 4k 60hz.

It does not work with Macbook 12" at all (advertised as working).With any other Thunderbolt 3 Mac, even the latest 2017 models, you will only get 4K@60Hz resolution at best, because they are DP1.2.There are other cables out there that will give you the same 4K picture, but 4 times cheaper.There is only one 5K monitor in the market that expects a single cable DP1.4 connection, the  iiyama XB2779QQS-S1 27-Inch Height Adjustable Slim 5K IPS LED Monitor - Silver  — this cable WILL NOT give you a 5K picture with it.This is all confirmed with Moshi support.I would give at a -5 for false advertising (they say 5K@60Hz from a Macbook Pro in their pictures and description!), but the lowest possible mark is one star. I got the LG UltraFine 4k Display, which works marvellously with a USB-C Mac, but I didn't realise that it only works over USB-C or Thunderbolt 3.This adapter (together with a miniDP-to-DP adapter) lets me use the screen with my old MacBook Pro, which only has a Thunderbolt 2 connection! Brightness adjustment does not work out of the box with this.

Brilliant cable, worked where others had failed very reliably. Slightly more expensive than other options, but worth it in my opinion, and has allowed me to boot consistently into windows boot camp using my display/egpu setup.
