Keeps people from messing with the temps
Bought this because as a father and husband I was tired of anyone messing with the thermostat. It was easy to mount to the wall and works as intended. I did eventually give my wife a key but the temps stay where I set them now. A bonus is I see this brand everywhere like hotels and my work....my key works on other Honeywell covers, not sure if the key is the same on all of them but I find this fact LOL. Bought a 2nd just for the keys because I lost mine before as well.

It performs the function that I bought it for: deterrence.
I was hesitant to buy this because of all the criticizing reviews that stated that it will not stop any adult who is determined to rip or knock it off the wall. That critique is 100% true. I could easily take a hammer, a small pot, just about any blunt object and knock this box off the wall.My father has dementia and was constantly changing the house thermostat settings. After installing this product, my family found that just its presence, and the box locked up, deters my father from changing the thermostat settings. We've realized that he's not so far gone with his dementia that he will consciously perform damage to the house because his stubbornness wants the thermostat set a certain way. So, this product successfully performs its function for our family.

Good buy
Very good for the price range. Easy to install yourself. Fit perfectly around my thermostat. Doesn’t look tacky. Great hasn’t broken.

Not perfect, but does the job nicely.
These are great covers. I ordered 4 of them (3 medium and 1 large) and they all came with the same key. This is convenient; but I'm not sure it was intentional, or if all these covers just universally have the same key. Anyway, they're easy to install and they look nice. My only complaint is that the two pieces fit together SLIGHTLY loose, meaning there's just a little bit of play between them when it's locked. This doesn't create a bit issue, but it would be nicer if they were a snug fit, which I think would discourage tampering. The plastic is durable, though I will say that the reason I purchased these was to replace some that had been tampered with and were broken, so the plastic certainly isn't break-proof. If you're looking for something to prevent access, you may want to look at a metal option or something stronger. If you're just looking for something to discourage people from trying to tamper with the thermostat, this is a good, affordable option.

As advertised
Consecutive $400 electric bills on our ski condo rental prompted us to get a dozen of these to cover our electric thermostats (and only permit access to our gas thermostats). All were keyed alike and worked as they should. Installation was ~5 minutes per since you don't have to take the thermostat off. I hadn't considered that prior to purchasing them but that turned out to make things much easier. These are a little larger than my Honeywell dial thermostats which made them all fit fine but the downside is that they are a little more of an eyesore than needed. They're not overly attractive but I haven't seen a thermostat guard that it so no mark against the rating there. If you're considering buying guards these are the way to go. Tough hard plastic, easy installation and the locking mechanisms work great. Just make sure to take measurements if you think there's a chance they may not fit.

Does the job
Installed a new thermostat and didn't want my employees touching it. Works well.

Too bulky too big
I have a small round thermostat and had a hard time finding anything compatible. The case is very big and deep. Strange design, the top part of the case easily comes undone when unlock in a surprise manner. At first, I thought I broke the case, just to realize it was a poor not well-thought design. Imagine, you unlock the case, opened the case and the top portion of the case came from its plastic hinges as i it got broken, you than have to place the top portion back into hinges and lock the case as the top portion won't stay open in unlock position.
