Brabantia Wall-Mount Pull Out Indoor Clothesline - Stainless Steel, (Model: 385766)

Simple yet effective, easily hangs a few load of laundry while not fully extended. I mounted this across my basement approximately 12 feet. The five strands accomadate my usual load size for one load. It then takes approximately 8 hours (overnight or all day) for the laundry to drive. The retraction spring is strong, no lines have gotten entangled or stretched since each time you empty the lines and retract the mechanism you reset the length of the lines. Some sagging with heavier items (heavy jeans or thick knit turtlenecks) but the lines do bear the weight. Would not be appropriate for a rug or wet blanket/quilt type item.I am very satisfied with the pull-out clothes line; lots of hanging space in a small space!

I have gone through several all-plastic models. They were cheap with short lives. I like this version much better. HOWEVER, it has developed mismatched line lengths. I am yet to figure out how to get them all back into sync.

I needed a clothesline to use in my condo that could handle a full load of laundry. This item works perfectly for my needs. It's sturdy and has held up so far. I use the entire length of the clothesline. Each line is not evenly taught when fully extended but I expected this based on previous reviews. Extending the line slowly helps to some extent but I have yet to have each line be completely even. Despite this issues the clothesline still fulfills its purpose and I have no complaints.

I have been using this clothesline for over 10 years! Yes, you read that correctly 10 years! I hate it when people review a product just days after receiving it. We installed this retractable clothesline in our laundry room when we built a new house. Since it is installed in front of a refrigerator and chest freezer I need to be sure I can access those when needed. The way ours is installed I rarely retract it so it stays open most of the time. The mollies that hold the hooks for the part that pulls out pulled out of the wall after a short time. We solved that problem by mounting a board to the wall and then installing the hooks into that board. We have not had any issues in over 9 years. We have not had any problems with the main part staying attached to the wall either. We probably mounted it to the studs in the wall. I love that it spans the 9 feet across the room, holds several loads of laundry, and can be retracted when needed. I would highly recommend this clothesline!

I do like a space I safed once I instaled Barbantia.I don't like how you have unscrew entire rack in order to rewind the lines. Also the way how it's hooked to the wall while being open is not to good for me. I fell like those small hooks will come out any time, leaving hols in the wall, also sometimes I found difficult to alined lines onto them.I do love the idea of the rack but not to sure about finall product.

This item is very flimsy and I doubt that it will last with daily use - after installing I was unable to tighten all of the lines no matter what I did - the adjustment knob does not latch securely at times and all items hanging will droop towards the floor - installation is complicated with the pull out end only attaching to the opposite wall with 2 small hooks that will easily pull out of the wall if heavy items are hung on the lines such as a quilt - I spent 2 hours installing (I am a mechanical engineer with an anal streak) - and with the first use the one end that only slips over a small bracket came off with the clothes falling to the floor - not a good design - I give it one star for looks only - a waste of time and money!

We have had this for several years, and it is still going strong. Looks great when fully extended or retracted. Very handy, and nice looking

This wall mount works quite well. There are some issues with one of the lines not being taut sometimes but it holds fairly well. My wife doesn't really mind the sagging (ours is mounted high on the wall, indoors) too much and it hasn't reduced the functionality of it.Do yourself a favor though and do not use their mounting hardware. Get some longer, more sturdy hardware for mounting and you should have no problem.
