Very fresh and almost no broken up pieces. Note the size of the bag! This is a huge amount. It will last a long time, probably the chili will get old before I can use the full amount. Maybe I'll give some to friends. Remember dried spices don't go bad, they just slowly fade away and become nearly flavorless.

Large Quantity for Price, but low on flavor
If you are looking for a zippy and flavorful chili thread to spice up your cooking, this is not it. While it is a huge quantity, they tasted stale and barely had any flavor. Would not buy it again.
