Helps me ward off anemia and is great for an emotional boost in the form of ginger cookies!
Everyone has a different reason for wanting to use molasses, especially for that added jolt of 750mg of potassium. Me? I’ve been using it successfully to avoid extreme anemia and also for old-fashioned ginger cookies which I adore. On the Wholesome Sweeteners site, they offer up one by Chef Malika Ameen, which I’ve included below. There’s a decent jolt of iron in the Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Molasses at 15%. I was at the docs again yesterday and so far I’ve been avoiding those specialized iron shots. A tablespoon away seems to be doing the trick. This molasses does have a strong taste, but that’s to be expected with blackstrap molasses.I’m finding that it’s not only good for iron intake, but also a nice little energy booster. Cookies not so much so, but good for an emotional boost. I do like the fact that it’s Fairtrade Certified in addition to being USDA certified. It’s so much better than having to take pills or, worse yet, get shots.Chewy Ginger Cookies By Chef Malika AmeenINGREDIENTS:1 cup all-purpose flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp sea salt1/2 tsp ground Vietnamese cinnamon1/4 tsp ground ginger1 tsp ground cardamom1/4 tsp ground white pepper1/4 tsp Fairtrade cocoa powder3/4 cup Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Sugar2 tbsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Light Brown Sugar2 tsp orange zest5 tbsp melted butter at room temperature, preferably European style1 Cage-free organic egg white1 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger2 tbsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Molasses1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract1/4 tsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Sugar, for rollingDirections:In a bowl, combine flours, baking soda, salt, spices and cocoa. If dough begins to get warm, chill for 5-7 minutes before baking. Bake cookies 8-10 minutes maximum for chewy cookies. Bake longer for crisp cookies.Recipe source:Chef Malika Ameen

Excellent for lawns
The molasses was shipped quickly and was packaged very well. The seller went a step further and bubble wrapped the molasses to prevent damage while shipping.I use this organic unsulfured molasses as part of a fertilizer mix to feed the microbes in my tall fescue lawn. With the addition of organic fertilizers that I add first like corn meal, alfalfa pellets, soy bean meal and Milogranite my lawn is extremely green and grows fairly quickly. I mix 4 ounces of this organic unsulfured blackstrap molasses and 4 ounces of unfiltered apple cider vinegar into an Ortho Dial sprayer and then fill the rest of the container with water. I make sure that I mix the ingredients well before attaching the hose to the sprayer. I then set the sprayer at a rate of 2 ounces and spray my entire 100 sq foot lawn every 2 or 3 months with this mix making sure to water at least a half inch of water after the application. Within 2-3 weeks my lawn is dark green, grows vigorously and is also a safe organic insect control. This unsulfured molasses can also be used to make worm casting tea which help feed the microbes in the tea batch.I highly recommend this organic molasses if you are growing an organic lawn.

Great taste! Be cautious of bottle
Caution! When the molasses arrive, go ahead and put them away. When my bottle arrived, i took it out of the box but left it wrapped in its plastic wrap and went to bed because i got home late. I was going to open it the next morning. In the middle of the night, my husband and I heard a loud pop! My husband got up with his gun looking through out the house and didn't find anything. We went back to bed and woke up hours later. I thought about the molasses and was excited to try them. Well, the pop we heard was the bottle of molasses. There was molasses all inside the plastic wrap and on my table. Not sure why that happened but i poured them into a glass jar. The molasses are delicious! I think that i will go to Whole Foods or where they're sold in stores from now on and purchase the molasses from there :)

Prompt delivery.
This organic molasses is a key ingredient to my homemade bread. My local supermarkets didn't have it in stock so I was very pleased to find this on Amazon. And the company delivered.

Good stuff, but beware the packaging...
It's blackstrap molasses, no more no less! You probably know what to expect taste-wise. I purchased it for health purposes but discovered I was not a fan of the flavor, but after finding a recipe for Molasses Milk (which is DELICIOUS), I've found a way to incorporate it into my diet on the regular. That said, I had seen a few reviews discussing how incompetent the seal was on this, and I have to agree. Mine came thankfully repackaged in a plastic bag, as it already had a light coat of molasses on it. That said, only a little product was spilled and it didn't ruin the overall product, I just wish the brand itself would consider not only stronger packaging, but a better pouring lid as well, as this stuff tends to run down the bottle very easily. Other than that, nothing wrong with it!

must have lucked out!
after an hour so of research, this is the most nutritious molasses on amazon, one that is blackstrap, also unsulphured, and fair trade-perhaps making it the thickest, darkest as well.seems to be that with whole food juices, extracts, syrups etc; that the darker the danker.personally use a serving of this with 3g of glycine mixed in water after dinner to wash back cod liver oil and night time supplements
