Perfect fit
Installed this on my Troy Built TB100 and it was a perfect fit last coil starter came undone and plastic piece broke off new part was perfect tightened down and started the lawn mower right up

Drop in replacement for Briggs 550e on a Murry 21" 3-1 mower.
Dropped right in. 5 minute job.2nd one i had to replace on 10 year old mower.. Original lasted about 7years

Worked on my Briggs and Stratton
Worked great. Only thing that could be improved would be increasing the starter rope length some but it started the mower.

Don't bother. Just buy a new mower
It says clearly that it fits a 550EX but it would not recoil the rope. No instructions included. Just the pictures on Amazon's website. Mine looked exactly like the one pictured but like I said. No recoil. I left the mower on the curb with a FREE sign and it was gone in hours.

So far so good!
Who knows how long it will last, but for now, my old mower works again and I have no problem buying another in the future if needed.For the record, this fit my 2017 Yard Machines 500E Briggs & Stratton 140cc with 21" blade.

It broke
It broke after a month. The plastic they used is crap.. it could be my mower so I won't put all the blame on them,but the plastic is pretty much worthless.
