How often do you use it?

When I get a pimple (or feel one forming a bump under skin), I use an alcohol prep pad and thoroughly clean the area, which also helps these stick and stay on all night long, then put one of these on overnight. I am absolutely AMAZED by the magic these things work (other brands as well—now there are lots of options and price has come down over the past few years). I remove it in the morning. They are as close to invisible as you can get, but still noticeable, so I rarely use (a new one, of course) during they day if I have to work or be out & about. However, if I have a really nasty looking zit (like one I could not resist popping, though I have learned my lesson—finally—resist popping and use these instead, they also help with the urges to pop!), I sometimes look in the mirror and decide one of these over a blemish is less casually noticeable than a big, ugly zit. For stubborn blemishes, I use one of these for several nights in a row (they are single-use only; cannot be reused). If you have the unfortunate luck (curse) of getting cystic acne, you may need to do this for longer. If I catch a cystic blemish forming and successfully resist messing with it (it’s hard sometimes—I’m a bit OCD), then sometimes just 2-3 nights does the trick. I remove patch & clean the area with alcohol the morning, after washing my face, then use Almay Clear Complexion Concealer (it contains salicylic acid, and is a life saver I’ve used for decades) as a spot coverup during day. Look for these bandages that are all hydrocolloidal all the way to the edge, instead of ones that have a different, thinner adhesive around the edge—more like a traditional bandaid—that part is not actual hydrocolloidal. I use them on all sorts of cuts, etc, everywhere now. A good trick for that is to buy larger ones (like 4x4 inches, which are cheaper) and just cut to the size you need, before removing any of the backing cover material. Again, the ones that don’t have the surrounding edge gives you much more usable bandage when cutting them to size. Make sure you store the remaining bandage in something air-tight; I put them back in the packaging they came in, & put that in a Ziploc. These are like a miracle. I just wish these had been invented over 35 years ago, when I was a teenager. Of course, the wonders of menopause have given me ample opportunity to use them now. Good luck!

Can you put makeup over patch?

You could. But… if you’re asking if the patch is visible under makeup, it absolutely will still be noticeable from a short distance away.

Will the acne patch melt and stick to the outside packaging?

Part of the acne patches I received was stuck on the outer packaging and I contacted the seller. They sent me a upgraded replacement, very nice service.Try to contact them.

Not thick at all. When wearing them you can barely even see they are on your face.
