These are not bad, but they DO NOT come weighted... but they do come with a filling hole...
So the big thing question / comment is about the pins being weighted. They do not come weighted, but there is a plastic peg at the top of the pin that you can easily remove to fill the pin with some type of weighting material (see photos). My gripe is not so much the weight, but the plastic molding seam that does not leave the bottom flat. I printed some plastic caps to put on the bottom of each pin to make the bottom absolutely flat and to give it a slightly wider base... the cap I made has a recess in it for a small magnet so that I can stand them in grass on little round disks held nearly flush to the ground with flat top metal stakes ( by the way, this was necessary based on how I am using them - it is still easy to knock over with a 1lb foam bowling ball as the magnet is only strong enough to keep them from blowing over in the wind).Anyway, I think the seller should point out the fact that there is a peg at the top for filling somewhere in the description. Maybe they wouldn't get blasted as much in the comments. No real issue with the pins -- the quality is pretty much what I expected. I will probably get another set.

Light weight
I expected the product to have a little more weight. It was a problem since it was not immediate usable.

A bit light-weight.
Wish these were a bit heavier. Still fun for the kids.

plastic 15 inch pins
Better quality than most kids' bowling pin sets. They should last a long time. Same size as standard wooden pins used at all bowling establishments. Being of hollow plastic, this set though weighs only about 10% of solid wood pins used at bowling alleys. Since 10 to 16 lb bowling balls are typical at these bowling centers, a 1 to 2 lb ball would give the most realisic pin action for this set. The spacing between pins on the included setup board is the same as the standard for pins at bowling alleys: 12 inches. 8 1/2 in diameter ball is the standard. If using a smaller ball, try setting the pins a little closer together to compensate. As mentioned in an earlier review, the red band on the pins won't last. I would eventually replace that with red or blue plastic type of tape, in one or two bands, such as are most typically seen on real wooden pins.Actual bowling alleys are 60 feet long, and about 4 feet wide. There are gutters on both sides to keep the ball in play. This size is not realistic for home use, as well as the surface played on. However, hard surface "alley" lengths 15 to 25 feet will work fine for this set, such as in a basement, game room, family room, or garage; and of course that closer distance will result in better accuracy and higher scores too.

Great size!
The media could not be loaded. Love these! They are the real size and fun to play with. We filled them with sand we got from Lowe’s bc we used actual 13lbs bowling balls on them. They definitely stood up to the challenge.
