As stressful/scary as the actual games
Played this with my partner - this is a great board game for adults. (Would NOT recommend for anyone younger than 16 honestly, or maybe very smart 13 year olds)This game is highly strategical and all about knowing exactly where your animatronics are at all times. There is a lot of luck to it, but the big strategy is knowing when to risk and let things move and when not to.Quality of the board is good, and there’s actually quite a bit of nice features to it like the fact the time cards are double sided for easy reset. It’s pretty fun, and a bit stressful in that good way. It’s very much as if you are playing the actual games.I will knock a few things, though none of them are worth knocking off a star. First off, in the rules it acts like you’re supposed to take turns. The game plays individually with no way to affect the other player, so there’s no reason to really take turns as much as just go at the same time. Some of the instructions aren’t particularly clear on turn order, so play as you see fit.The game ends with you only having the four animatronics on the board. Personally I would’ve liked a more variety of cards (like ones that move it backwards maybe) which might have made the game feel a little more balanced. But, that’s just a minor gripe as a regular board game player. Finally, out of *all* the FNAF2 characters, I am sinning the heck out of them for using balloon boy over mangled. Like, literally almost want to take off a star for it. @&$* balloon boy.If you are a five nights at Freddy’s fan, this is definitely a great board game to play.

Fnaf
I didn't get the instructions but I'm glad there was one on YouTube. I did make a quick video but it wouldn't upload and I gave up. Sorry. But, this is a fun and easy game for kids who love fnaf but haven't played the game. The only thing is that I wish it was made foe more then 2 players. But I bought a second one so my son can play with 3 cousins. I recommend it.

Fun
The game is fun but it is hard. I mean you really have to be lucky to beat the monsters... But if you start it an hour later, it gets easier and then you really have a chance...My kids were 6 and 9 when they got it. They prefer the hardest way...As for the age: from age 6 you can play with it. Rules are simple, game is fast.

Just kinda boring really...not much to it.
I picked up this game when it was marked almost half off and I think that's about an appropriate price. There's a few FNAF board games by Funko and this one is the closest to replicating that actual FNAF of the classic games where you are a security guard fending off animatronics by trying to keep track of them and keep them from entering the security office. It's sort of a combination of FNAF 1 and FNAF 2 with the original and toy versions of the animatronics. That being said, my first disappointment was realizing the board map serves no purpose. The board itself just has labels along the sides telling you where to put the stacks of cards. Nothing gets placed on or moves around the board map itself. The gameplay itself, your success relies too much on how the cards fall when they are shuffled and how the dice roll as that determines how fast you lose power. I can say with absolute certainty that there are games that are impossible to win no matter what choices you make which to me doesn't make fore a good game. This game is hard to win, relying mostly on luck and the few choices you have to make in determining which cards on the board to resolve and cancel out to delay them from activating...they're all very obvious as to which is the best choice for that round.Flip the top cards in each stack, resolve the ones that are obvious to resolve, roll the dice and lose power, trigger the cards you don't resolve, repeat. It's just boring and repetitive and your only strategy available is just to delay cards from triggering. Even playing with 2 players there is ZERO player interaction. Nothing either of you do affects the other person.Because cards get discarded and the stacked get smaller and start to empty, everything inevitably moves closer to the office no matter what you do and by the final round you'll be down to literally ONLY animatronics in the hallway just outside the office IF you survive that long.I would have loved to see a team like Prospero Hall take on this property and they make games for Funko all the time. They would have really adapted the gameplay in a thematic and fun way that just didn't happen here in my opinion. There's lots of things that could have been adapted that would make for a more interesting game, maybe just having some player action cards or have the animatronics have different abilities or movement patterns, or have player interaction where you can hinder the other player. Just a little extra something is needed. Maybe I'll mod in some of my own cards to add to the game to try and make it worth playing.
