This 1-pound package brings back those warm, nostalgic memories with every bite, offering a taste that’s as close to homegrown as it gets. What stands out about these beans is their exceptional quality. They cook up perfectly, offering a creamy texture and a delicious, hearty flavor that can only be achieved with beans of this caliber. Yes, it’s noticeable how the price of food has risen, making me even more appreciative of the value these beans bring to my kitchen.Cooking these lima beans right is the key to unlocking their full potential. Whether simmered in a savory broth, mixed into a hearty stew, or simply seasoned and enjoyed on their own, they never fail to deliver a comforting and satisfying meal. The fact that they can transport me back to the days of eating fresh beans from the garden is a testament to their quality.Despite the rising costs of groceries, Camellia Brand’s Dried Large Lima Beans are worth every penny for the flavor and memories they bring to the table. Large, smooth, unbroken beans
Received a set of two, 1 pound bags of lovely, large, unbroken beans. According to the package the U.S. company has been in business since 1923, non GMO product. I am anxious to make a beans and rice meal with these beautiful looking beans. The last time I looked for large limas in my grocery store, they were smallish, dull and broken.

Stale, break apart -DO NOT BUY
I bought these a few weeks ago when they were still labeled, 'Gigantes'. When they arrived I was shocked to see they were 'large lima beans'. I checked amazon site and the name/language has been updated from Spanish, 'Gigantes' to 'Lima'. I would NEVER have ordered these if they had been labeled that initially. Since non returnable (really crumby btw), I cooked them this past weekend. ALL THE BEANS are DIFFERENT SIZES from small to extra large. A problem if you want the larger beans to cook, the small ones fall apart due to long/needed cook times. and they did. and then many MANY of the larger beans peeled and fell apart -- there were bean husks although the cooked pot, and I do know how to cook beans, so no blaming the cook here. The beans were cooked for a marinated salad but there was ZERO possibility for this since the majority broke down into mush/husks. I tasted them anyway - HORRIBLE, bitter, the worse. The taste, look, durability and overall quality of this product is AWFUL. DO NOT BUY. The second bag went straight into the trash, not even a feedback deserves this terrible product.

They look nice, too soon to know what they taste like
I haven't had time to cook these, but they look nice. Some items, the River ought to give me more time to check it out before asking for a review.

Greek gianis
They are pricey but are of good quality for making Greek beans. Gianis. They are creamier. And there isn't very much foam when you boil. That's the crud that comes off the beans.
