Perfect for 6-12 months!
I’ll admit 6 months is very young for using the toy as intended. But it’s still a great way to spend time with baby! The pieces are very sturdy with an easy to grip handle. The primary colors are eye-catching and in line with true Montessori. The paint finish is glossy, and the even the base has a clear glaze. I like this, because we buy a lot of wooden toys and I wish they all came with this finish. It makes me feel like the toy is safer, because they are easier to keep clean.I also like the variety of shapes offered- basic fundamentals for babies. We can expand on rhomboids and diamonds at a later time!I have purchased wooden toys from many different online companies, and this one seems to be the highest quality by far. Fantastic value for the money! We also have some more expensive brands, so I was very pleasantly surprised to prefer this brand!I cant wait to get more. I need to anyway, because I left these out and my dog ate two of these puzzle pieces. Hopefully they have products for the life skills portion of Montessori so I can learn this too!

Very well made
Simple and nicely made toy! Really impressed by the quality. Very smooth, no chips, the paint is not smelly at all. Usually most toys have some sort of flimsiness to them, but this doesn’t have that problem. And I really like the simplicity of it: 3 big shape, bright colors. No too many bells and whistles that usually come with toys for my baby’s age group (6m).We are using it just a couple of days for now, but my little one loves it. Other toys keep her busy for a quite short period of time, with this one she can spend playing almost her entire wake time. Just a little note: it can be loud, since it is made of wood and my baby is still too little to gently put the shapes, but I am ok with it. It is so cute to see her trying to grab the shapes and knocking the wood panel. No chips or any damage to the toy itself.

Great toy for 1 year old
I got this for my son a couple of weeks after his 1st birthday. At first, he just ran around sucking on the knobs and playing with the pieces. The knobs are glued and screwed into the puzzle pieces and they have held up great. I showed him about once a week how to use the puzzle and let him decide where to go from there. Just the other day at 14.5 months, he decided to place the pieces into the puzzle. He now does the puzzle regularly and seems to get pleasure in completing it on his own. He still runs around with the pieces in his mouth and has dunked the puzzle in his water table, unfortunately. No splinters, paint slop, glue slop or anything else to complain about, however, I don't think this will become a hand me down because of the softness of the wood, which is now adorned with dozens of chomp marks. Paint is still holding strong even through the water table and toddler chomping. I'd say it was worth the price in the end.

Essential baby puzzle
As a retired Montessori guide I look for quality products. These are well made and can’t beat the price. The knobs are strongly secured on each piece, the size is also perfect

Great Montessori Toy
Love this toy for my 6 month old daughter! 10/10 would recommend for anyone interested in toys that are good for their children gross motor skills as they grow up. It’s built beautifully and the price is just right!

8 month old infant really likes this one.
The colors are beautiful and vibrant; really gets her attention. The knobs make it really easy for her to grab each piece individually to chuck in front of her. The board itself is not heavy and she likes flipping that around too. However 15 minutes into playing with it, it’s already chipped. I’m going to give this product the benefit of the doubt because my baby excitingly smacks the pieces together. Could the development team use a different approach to ensure the wood and color doesn’t chip? Could they use baby safe plastic in different colors instead of wood that chips the paint off? Yes. This is what you get for the price you pay. If you’re concerned about a safety issue, just SUPERVISE your children and don’t let them put the pieces in their mouths. My recommendation is to let your children play with this on the floor and not where they sleep or lie down in case there is a chip somewhere.

Recommend!
This toy is educational for my 7 month old to practice grasping and motor skills. The size of the puzzle pieces are nice and large so when he gets older he can work on placing the pieces in the correct shapes.

Good quality, perfect size for baby’s hands
Had this product for about a year and it has held up well. My toddler is now 21 months and still reaches for this toy once in a while. Good quality. I will be able to hand this toy down to the next little one in the family.
