Excellent Value for Money, Keeps Time Well
I was quite unsure when I bought this watch, because I had read certain reviews. There seemed to be quality control issues, and if you got a good one you were in good shape, but that it was a crapshoot. However, many of the main complaints that I read were from many years ago, so my hope was that they had had time to iron out the kinks.I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that it works perfectly! I've been wearing it daily for months now. It keeps time very well, and the "auto-wind" functionality is perfect.I genuinely couldn't be happier. And on top of all of that, it looks GREAT! Sometimes I enjoy just watching the little flywheel snap back and forth, it's quite mesmerizing.I also found that the "band squeaking" complaint is not an issue. After wearing it for just a day, giving it a chance to break itself I'm, there was no longer any band noise.I have not tested the waterproof-ness, because I'm not willing to risk destroying it. I just take it off before showers or swimming. There is no backlight or glowing material, so it's difficult to read in low light. These are small complaints, all things considered.I definitely recommend this watch for anybody looking for a really handsome, mechanical watch without breaking the bank.I will likely get another one after this one breaks. (Providing it lasts long enough)

Three stars on 'easy to read' rating but sweet overall
This watch looks super flashy and James Bondish in the light but can be a bit hard to read in the dim settings. I've had compliments on it for sure, which is pretty nice considering the price point. I imagine the darkened steel may scuff over time and reveal the natural bright sheen beneath, but for now it's neat. The crystal is pretty reflective unfortunately, but it is very clear also. I like that the metal components inside are not brushed steel but quite smooth instead, making it look more pro than other open heart / skeleton watches. I wound it two days ago and it's only lost around 4 seconds or so, so that's not bad for an automatic watch with standard gear sizes. I love it overall! Two photos are taken in obviously brighter and dimmer settings for presentation example.

This is a great watch
I love the looks of automatic skeleton watches! This is my second. When the first would no longer wind, I decided to get another. I really liked the look of this one. I haven't been disappointed! I've had several complements about how nice the watch looks. It has kept incredibly accurate time for a manual watch. One of the things I learned with the first watch was how to place it overnight. I don't know the reason, but you need to place the watch on the crown. If you lay the watch flat, it will lose a great amount of time overnight. By placing the watch on the crown, I've only lost about half a minute every three days or so.My only complaint is the hands are difficult to see in low light. I would have preferred some color other than silver which blends in with the workings of the watch.I highly recommend this watch!

Great watch, looks amazing.
This watch is stunning. It's casing looks tough, and the gunmetal is a great color and is very unique. But the mechanical center really steals the show and makes it so amazing. I literally would just stare at it for long periods of time. However, it's not out of place at either a formal occasion or one that's decidedly not. Also, both sides are see through, so you can see the small mechanical parts moving from the front or back when it's not on your wrist. I've been wearing it for a while now and it hasn't been scratched or stopped working in any way. Also, ond the back of the watch it says 165 feet water resistant, though I haven't trusted it enough to try it out. Finally, one note of concern is that it slightly squeaks when I move my wrist too much, though I plan to lube it a little with WD-40. This only started happening when I removed a few links. This is a great watch that is well worth the $90. It definately looks more expensive.

Great looks, reliability poor
I own several nice men's Fossil brand watches (Relics parent company) and have been happy with all of them.I'm going to start with the problems, because if a watch doesn't function, then its purely jewelry.First, the biggest problem is apparently a design flaw that allow moisture to enter the watch. I suspect moisture is entering through the "stem". Once inside, this will cause a fogging effect under the watch face that comes and goes . I have not submerged this watch at all, I have washed my hands with the watch on without running water directly on the watch. This is the second Relic watch of this style that has done this condensation, the other being a silver banded version of same watch. My wife had to return that one to a local department store. I thought I would give this one another try since I liked the watch concept and looks. The complete deal breaker is now the watch will not keep time. It will stop after a fews hours even after manually winding the spring.I did notice the band on the version "squeaks" after a few days of wear. I put a little oil in between the links and it went away. All in all, the watch had such promise but it falls short in functionality. I think those of us who like the automatic concept would at least want a working watch.

Fossil makes great quality watches!
My two sons got this for me as a birthday gift.Great looking watch, with a clear glass on the front and back to see gears. Automatic so need for a battery and if you only wear it every so often you can wined it up. Over all a great buy for the money.

Runs fast
Beautiful watch but keeps running faster. This was a gift my husband and at first it started running a minute fast and lately has been getting faster than adding 10 minutes a day. Very disappointed because I’ve always loved fossil watches
