Q: What type batteries and fuses does it take

It uses 2 x AAA batteries. Replace blown fuse with 200mA/600V fast-blow (Klein Cat No. 69031) The 10A jack requires 10A/600V fast-blow (Klein Cat. No. 69032)

Q: Does it beep when using to check for continuity?

It has a setting for tone if checking continuity. It won’t beep when set on ohms.

Q: I want to test household batteries. Is this unit able to put a load on the battery dyring testing?

No, i dont think thats a standard multimeter function. You can, however, do a load test using this meter and a power resistor. You put this meter in dc volt mode, connect it across the terminals of the battery, then connect a load resistor in parallel (also across terminals of battery). Compare the open circuit voltage to the voltage under load. The voltage drop should be specified for battery type. You should be able to calculate the appropriate resistor value using specs for the battery type as well.
