Fast Delivery, Heavy Construction
After replacing the black pipe connecting our wood stove to the chimney several times due to rusting, I decided to go stainless. It's much more expensive, but considering the cost of black pipe 3 or 4 times, I'm sure this will be cheaper in the long run. The savings in time and effort will be considerable as well. It will be good to know the chimney is safe and not compromised by rust.

It’s worth the risk of trying it.
I was very impressed with how durable and pipe was. I think it was excellent stainless steel. It does dent easily if you drop it on its edge but it’s more durable than you think. I just bought 3 more pipe for our fireplace, I’d recommend it

Junk
All but one of the 7 pieces I got were defective and missing a spot weld on the end. The seams came apart and were inpossible to reassemble. Initially I blamed Fed Ex and tlhad two replaced but they were the same.I don't know if this was a Duravent QC issue or this seller buts seconds but it was all worthless and made our install aweful. I will not buy again.

OK if you need stainless.
Installed and seems to work OK.Bought to replace an upper section of steel pipe that has chronic rust issues, so painted black to match the steel.Arrived intact and not bent :-)

Should outlast me.
This stainless steel stove pipe I used for outside vent for wood stove in shop. I got tired of every couple of years replacing galvanized pipe, elbow and cap. Inside, I used one length of stainless steel through the wall. I retained the black pipe elbow and length of pipe to the old cast iron stove. Inside, the black pipe doesn't seem to deteriorate quickly. One problem is that 6" diameter stainless steel pipe is slightly larger diameter than 6" black stove pipe. So I had to do a 'dry run' to arrange ends to fit before actual assembly. This single wall stove pipe installation is not to code. But I made sure it was safe. Between the studs I have sheet metal. On the outside, a 2" iron pipe is embedded in concrete in the ground, while intermediate clamps and braces support the stainless steel stove pipe all the way to the vent cap. All stove pipe connections are secured with stainless steel screws. It's time-consuming to remove and reinstall the clamps, braces and stove pipes. With this stainless steel pipe, I'm sure this is the last time I'll have to do that. Stainless is more expensive, but worth every penny.

It's stainless.
I needed this to exit out of the roof of my pole barn. Originally I just had a black steel one going to the outside portion and it lasted about 6 years but the weather got the best of it and it rotted out. Hopefully this should last my lifetime now. The interior pipes are still just black steel but they still have a lot of life left in them.
