Lune+Aster SuperStar Bronzer - Universally flattering golden vegan bronzer creates a warm glow and contour

Not really what I expected however I’ll use if once in a while maybe

I love this highlighter! It’s the perfect shade and even better that it’s vegan!

I don’t wear bronzer very often. I thought I would try again. This bronzer is vegan which I like and has buildable color. It is also talc free and gives me a subtle bit of glow when I apply it just right. I don’t want too much color but just enough so I don’t look so pale. For those wanting more definition this should work for that as well.

This does not work on darker skin tones for reference I am a 425N in Haus Labs foundation and that would be considered medium deep. So I am on the deep side of tan and this bronzer was lighter than me and looked chalky. This cannot even be used as an illuminator for deep complexions because there's barely any pearl sheen to it. Why advertise something like a bronzer as "universally" flattering when in reality it only works for porcelain and lightly tan skintones?Secondly why even attempt to make a one size fits all bronzer shade instead of just making two or three shades? A light, medium, deep, would've made way more sense than this.The color payoff is nice and it blends really well the product it self feels nice.But it's unfortunate that I cannot actually test it. They even used black models in the advertising but I highly doubt those models are wearing this product as it's far too light.Overall I only gave it two stars because the texture of the product shows promise. But this was a complete flop.

I ordered this thinking this would make a difference and give a nice glow, it doesn’t really show up on my complexion.I have darker skin, usually light coconut shade, this is very subtle.I would say that I like the way it goes on, and it’s pressed and fine leaving a nice finish.The bronzer is good quality.However it’s not universal as it claims. That’s why the 3 stars.

I generally avoid bronzers, in particular as I'm ultra fair and warm toned (technically cool yellow) and finding a lighter or flattering tone of bronzer in this category is a challenge. I feel like this one works for me, permitting I don't go ham. The shade is pretty sheer, but not too much, buildable and really blend-able. The texture in pan is really soft, feels really nice in general. The packaging of the product itself is super nice, feels the prestige. Also a fingerprint magnet, but that comes with the territory. Apparently this also has some skincare elements to it, which I'm somewhere between "ooh" and "I guess this is us now" on.There does appear to be some shimmer to this, but I think it really reads more glowy to me than disco ball, kind of like a diffuse radiance rather than glitter. I think I'm more glow camp than contour, and I do have a contour product I think shadows my face slightly more flatteringly than this does. That one it much more business forward, matte, we're doing work things, vs this which has a bit of fun to it. Different moods, I have room for both. Overall a pretty safe pick if you don't mind a bit of glow and shimmer and are at a loss of what shade or depth you need.

Nope, this bronzer is not for me. I find it very sparkly, like to the point where people ask why your face is so sparkly. I overall really love the lune + aster brand so I was a bit disappointed. It does have good color payoff but I’m over thirty now and that kind of sparkle just does not look good on me.

This is a very nice bronzer, that goes on very smoothly. It's certainly buildable. For reference I have a cool/neutral fair-light skin tone, and find one swipe to be perfect and natural. I like that it has clean ingredients and that it is also a product made in the US. I think my few small critiques of it is the bronzer compact design. First, it doesn't have the usual tiny nail grip below the clasp, so it isn't that quick to open. Second, the entire compact is a mirror finish. When I first opened it from the box and slid it out, I did think it looked cool, but now that I'm using it daily, I'm realizing the cool mirror finish is a poor idea because it is now loaded all over with fingerprints. I definitely see why most brands stick to black and matte finishes for their compacts now. Overall, I really like the color. I agree that it is flattering and neutral on my skin tone. It goes on smoothly and has good all day staying power even in the Florida climate in which I live, where it is already in the 80s in February. I'd definitely recommend and would buy again when it runs out.
