Easy to use, and seems to match strips and my salt pool chlorinator - best tool for the job so far
I wanted to double check my chlorinator, as my pool supplier said the new salt cell reads high by a lot, and I refilled the pool after a repair, necessitating the addition of 10 bags of salt and other chemicals. The salt range needs to be controlled within a band of several hundred PPM, but you don't need fine scientific accuracy, and this little gadget seems to fit the bill. I checked against my house and filtered water for close to 0, then read the pool, which has varied between 3600 and 4100 as I added salt and the chlorinator removed it. I find strips are hard to read (not much contrast, not a crisp line), and the refractometer I bought shrinks the range to a small distance. The digital reading on this device is unambiguous, although one shouldn't assume numbers imply infallibility.

Fairly accurate. Easy to use.
I compared the reading of this meter to the results of my Taylor Salinity kit, and it was 150ppm off. That is close enough for me. Simple to use, just need to wait for readings to settle.

Works great
Couldn’t spend $100 on the most reputable salinity meter, so I purchased this one after researching. So far, it’s working great! Been using it for a few weeks now and I find it reliable and effective. For some background, I’m using it to monitor salt levels and dosage in my koi pond (treating for disease).

Helps to check our Salt level
Helps to check our Salt level In our pool. Our salt generator kept saying it was low on salt when it wasn’t and cost us a lot of money on salt. It ended up being the salt generator was bad. We then had to pump half of the water out because we then had to much salt.

Very nice
Great meter for the price! Been using this for several years now. I have 4 techs and we all use them. Batteries are easy to change and last a long time. Very easy to use meter

Don’t Buy
Do not purchase anything from eseasongear! I purchased a salinity meter from eseasongear last year. I used it a couple of times but the reading never stopped going up or down even after a few minutes. I read another review about a one year warranty so I contacted the eseasongear through Amazon. Their first reply was to test the water at room temperature. It’s a pool! The meter says for pools! The temperature was 74 degrees when I tested last and the reading still never stoped. Reply via Amazon again to seller and was told to contact them directly yet they failed to send any contact information. I replied again asking for the contact information and was told to Google it. Poor customer service and a product that does not work.

This is a TDS not a salt meter
Buyer beware you paying 65$ for a cheap TDS (total dissolve meter) NOT and not a salinity tester NaCL. for sur it will give reading but TDS measure ALL element so reading completely inaccurate.
