Great Value
I can’t say it was easy to build because my husband did it, but it was best price and it’s not super heavy

Even a professional cabinet maker will struggle to assemble this item
Absolutely Awful Deck Chair - Zero StarsI recently purchased this deck chair and it has been a complete nightmare from start to finish. First of all, the chair arrived in a flat pack with a mind-boggling 63 screws and bolts required for assembly. 63! That alone should have been a huge red flag. After hours struggling to put this monstrosity together, I discovered that many of the pre-drilled guide holes for the screws were in the wrong places. So not only were there enough screws and bolts to build a small skyscraper, half of them didn't even line up properly. It's as if this thing was designed by a sadist. To make matters even worse, the wood is so ridiculously soft that if you accidentally put a screw in the wrong place, that hole is completely ruined and unusable. And forget about trying to make a new hole nearby - the structural integrity of the entire chair becomes compromised if you don't get it exactly right the first time. I now have a half-assembled chair with stripped out holes that wobbles like a drunken sailor. In summary, this is hands down the worst deck chair I have ever had the misfortune of buying. The assembly is a convoluted mess, the materials are garbage, and the margin for error is nonexistent. Avoid this product like the plague unless you want a chair that doubles as a torture device and triples as firewood. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy.

Beautiful chair
Absolutely love the look of this chair. The color is absolutely gorgeous. My husband is very mechanical so it only took him 45 minutes to put together. You do have to make sure that all of the screws bolts and washers are used and used correctly. You need to make sure that they’re extremely tight to where you’re not gonna crack the wood, but that they’re sturdy. We hope to have many good years and I purchased two. I am going to try these out and purchase the next two and hope that the manufacturer stands behind their product but it’s a beautiful chair. It’s comfortable to sit in. Just make sure you put it together correctly.

Excellent Value - DIY Buyers Only !
I was very anxious to write a review on this chair after the build and a couple of days use.I have to say that this chair is an excellent value, and it was fun to assemble. It looks good as an outdoor chair and is reasonably comfortable to sit in. Overall, I am very pleased with the chair, and have to say they could easily be sold for $100.00+. I would have no problem dropping $100.00 on this chair. The unfinished wood is OK and well prepared with no splinters or any features that could injure the builder. The wood is not clear, which is to be expected for the price. I loathe the aluminum screws provided, but again, the price dictates these kinds of components. Had I known it would turn out great, I would have invested a few extra dollars for stainless-steel fasteners. They will do the job, but you risk decapitating the screws in too much torque is applied. There is absolutely no need to crank any of the screws - IF everything is lined up before tightening any screws. More about that...The instructions could not be easier to follow. They did leave out a very important piece of information that could easily make the difference between success and failure:>>>>> Don't tighten the screws until the assembly has been completed. For example, the back of the chair has a lot of screws, so you would keep each screw loose until you can line up the base of the back to keep it perpendicular with the center of the upright back. Not doing this will result with a lot of explatives bandied about, and frustration. Keep everything somewhat loose until the chair is complete and correct. Then tighten all screws in one pass so none are missed. When done this way, the chair will be ultra-sturdy. Guaranteed.Small pilot holes are provided to start the screws, lining them up can be a challenge, but when the screws are loose, it's a piece of cake.If you are not a DYI person, I would find something else. I spent a total of three hours, one hour per day after work. You don't need tools. You don't need a drill for the screws, but I am a glutton for a good screw session. All you need is a good Phillip's Head, approprietly sized to the cross on the screw head. Keep it on-axis with the screw and you will have no problem. Tried and true.Assembly of the chair was extremely therapeutic and rewarding. Is the haze of the mayhem going on in the world, a constructive distraction is a very welcome event - it's just not possible to put a monetary value on that experience. *** In honesty, I wish it were more challenging.Maybe the nicest purchase I have made all year, and I have made a few.

Mediocre at best.
I've had these chairs for about 6 months, and they're already showing wear and tear like I've had them for years. The screws are coming unscrewed on their own, which is causing instability when sitting in the chair. The wooden planks are also beginning to crack. For the price, I would look at other options.

Great chairs!
Great chairs! It took couple hours to put 3 chairs together, once you build the first one, the rest are easy. Best part is that the chairs fold very easy!

Armrests need improvement
The main issue with the quality of these chairs is with the armrests. Some of the armrests are not single pieces of wood. Instead they are two or three pieces glued together to create a single armrest panel. So, with the armrests being thin to start with, that creates a weak spot in a critical area. When moisture gets on the rest the wood swells naturally then dries and shrinks in the sun, they split at the glue seam. The rest of the chair is fairly robust. Do a corrective action on the armrest spec and these will be a fine chair for the money

This item saved me
I see reviews about this that can be negative. I was running out of time for Christmas as a lady would love an Adirondack chair. The fed ex erroneously changed the delivery to 12/24. Not enough time to assemble and I had no time to make one from scratch although I am capable.Well it still came on 12/18 so I got to workAll boards and screws and hardware in the package were correct. This is a very good quality and directions.Just take your time! Sure it’s from china but all went together just fine and now I can give as a present for Christmas!!
