I needed a new set of push-up bars to replace my previous pair, which I used to use daily. Those were my first set of push-up bars, and though I enjoyed them while using them, I knew what I wanted for my next pair:1. Plastic, non-foam handles. My previous set of push-up bars had foam handles, which did not seem very hygienic over the long-term. I like how with plastic handles, they will be easier to keep clean.2. Rotating base. We all know how push-ups can strain wrists - I was intrigued by the design of a rotating base in order to alleviate potential wrist strain/pain!3. Aesthetics. This mattered less to me than the other two, but I thought it would be fun if my next set of push-up bars featured some color, instead of the all-black design of my previous bars!I did a lot of research on different types of push-up bars on Amazon, and I was drawn to this pair because I admire the mission behind this company - I like that they are based in Colorado, and that they have a passion for fitness and outdoor gear.Shopping on Amazon lately has become frustrating due to the plethora of counterfeit and low-quality items being sold, which is why it's now important to me to verify the integrity of third-party companies selling on this site.I'm happy to say that SmarterLife fulfilled my expectations and beyond! There was a problem with my order, and SmarterLife truly went above and beyond with their customer service. They were quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and very understanding and friendly. They definitely made me happy with my choice to go with their brand!I have finally had the chance to try the push-up bars, and they work great for me! A few people in my household have also tried them, and they worked well for them! I would say we're a mix of small statures as well as on the taller side/gym types, though not extreme in either direction. I would guess these would work very well for a person within an average weight/body type.I like the design of the bars - the color makes them fun to have in a room, instead of looking like clutter with the all-black version of my previous bars. I find the handles comfortable to use. They rotate easily, while at the same time staying in place if you wish - I do not find they rotate when I don't want them to. They feel sturdy while using them - if I don't want them to rotate, they stay still and sturdy during push ups and other exercises (like the mountain climber exercise).They've been comfortable for my usage of them - I don't miss the foam from my previous bars at all, and I love how these plastic handles will stay much cleaner.Since owning these bars, I have already put them to great use, and they're giving me the workout I've been craving! Great quality. I wish I could keep them from turning while using. Could be because I’m over 80 years old.

These are effective, and for the price serviceable. However, they are predomiently made of plastic, and creak when doing push-ups etc. under load. I can feel the connecting parts/joints of the handles moving a little as I work out. I didn't want to purchase a more expensive and sturdier product until I could gauge how often I'd use them in my work outs, so these were a good fit for getting started trying one out. They're attractive enough, good design, love the bright green color personally, but if I use them regularly I'll likely invest in a sturdier pair vs. wait for them to crack or break while I'm using them.

When you use these push up bars, you realize how much your hands rotate during a push up. It reliefs the pinching I get in my wrists doing flat handed push ups. I have tried others and definitely wanted to get a pair. These feel very sturdy with a large base. They rotate smoothly. The hand grip is not hollow on the bottom which makes for a nice grip feel around the handle. The grip is not spongy. There is a little bit of compression on the upper grip surface when you're on it, which is fine for me. There are more functions than just push-ups for these. I use them behind me for dips. The included workout guide gives you some ideas but you can make up your own. As for negatives, and this is not a show stopper, green is not my favorite color, but maybe it will be after using these more.
