The labels print ok, And the backing is split down the middle which makes it easier to remove. The labelmaker came with a different version of the label tape, and there is no split, so every label is an ordeal to get the backing off. The printing is crisp and I haven't seen any of the ink smear.

My husband and I both love our Epson label works label maker. The tape was one of the most important factors in selecting the Epson. I have been very pleased with the tape. It is easy to print on, the lettering is always clear, and it is easy to apply to objects. Most importantly, the tape is easy to remove, leaves no residue, and can be moved to other objects. knowing that I can move the tape reduces my concern about having to recreate a perfectly good label when I need it on another container.For some reason, earlier sets of the same tape did get twisted a couple of times within the label maker and became unusable. However, when I called the label maker's customer support at Epson, they promptly replaced the tape; it arrived within a couple days. The first time the tape got twisted, they replaced the label maker, itself and asked me to return the device so that they could find out what happened. I happily did so. The company staffs its help desk with people who have used the label maker and the tape extensively. They have a constructive, helpful attitude and show concern about the problem. Some customers have complained that the cost of the tape is high. I agree. However, Epson backs its tapes and label makers with lifetime warranties and hires knowledgeable people for customer support.Their services have been valuable to me. As a result, I am happy to recommend the tapes, the devices and the company, itself. Labelling objects in our home has become a favorite pastime partly due to the tape quality :). I recommend these tapes and the label maker highly.

Perfect for my expectations

If you need this it's great, but the price definitely inspired one to use it sparingly. Print is clear and the tape is quite durable.

I've found this extremely handy for labeling everything in my studio. From mic cables to unlabeled buttons on the mixing board that have special assignments. And it was nice to fool proof all the condenser microphones by putting a 48Volt label on microphones that take 48V so whoever plugs them in knows to check.p. It prints them as fast as you need and the quick cut feature is sweet! Changing the label cartridge to a different style is a BREEZE!

Excellent adhesion to smooth, flat surfaces. Labels stay stuck even in subzero temps. Order the "Strong Adhesive" labels for plastic or lightly textured surfaces.

The color and everything is great, however it’s a pain to get the paper off the back in order to apply it! Not so bad if your only doing one label, but if your doing a bunch it turns into a whole project. The size up has a split in the middle which makes it easier but with this size you almost have to peel it from the corner every time and if your not careful you’ll mess the corner up and the label will never sit right (corner loses its adhesion)
