Great loading device
This works perfectly to load a break barrel pellet pistol. It holds 18 pellets and is able to seat them one at a time into the breach. I'm buying a second one to be able to have twice as many pellets ready to go.

Very handy, easy to load.
A must for a single shot pellet rifle.

It works. Most helpful when wearing gloves.
This pellet pen is ok. Yes, it beats fishing around in your pocket for a .177 pellet. It's a little more cumbersome to use than I thought it might be. Perhaps more practice and I'd become more proficient with it. It's not like you can reload a break-barrel pellet rifle all that quickly in the first place. It does help, and it does work, and you will find that you end up with a lot less pocket lint going into the chamber. If you're hunting, I'd suspect you don't really need this, because you would likely have ample time between shot opportunities to get another pellet loaded. However, for plinking, it might shave off a good 15-20 seconds between each shot. Using this, I can fire successively every 20-30 seconds. Pulling pellets out of my pocket is more in the 30-45 second range. In good weather with bare hands. Now, if you're wearing gloves it's a completely different story. Just try it. Pick an individual pellet out of your pocket with gloves on. And don't drop it while attempting to chamber it. This is where the pellet pen is a huge advantage. While it clicks into position for each pellet you push out, that is only an indicator. There is nothing to stop you from loading two pellets at a time... or all 20. But you would probably know it if you pushed all 20 out at once. I don't THINK that I've double-loaded, or twenty-loaded, but I can't say with certainty that I haven't. Actually, I never have pushed all 20 into the barrel/chamber at once. Or if I have double-loaded, there have not been any adverse effects,,, that I'm aware of.I've been careful with mine, but I think I would be willing to pay a little more for an metal/aluminum version. I haven't broken mine or anything, but at times it does feel flimsy.I have used it with a wide variety of pellets from different manufacturers, shapes and grains. All, of course, were .177 caliber.

A "Must Have" for break-barrel air rifles & pistols.
Update 7/12: Watch your pricing on this. Bought my original 2 at $9.92 ea. Wanted 3 more (so I can hit the field with 75-plus rounds & of different types) and found them listed on Amazon again at over $15 each! Now that's a rip-off! Kept searching Amazon & eventually found product again at 8.99 plus $6.95 shipping (total for all 3), so I ordered another three. After a month of use (I shoot about 200-300 rounds/week), I LOVE this product. Buy it! Worth every penny. See my original review below.Original Review: Just used the two Pellet Pens I received today thru' Amazon; will be purchasing another three. The loading time saved and the loading ease & convenience provided is, to me, worth the cost (I don't care what someone makes on an item if it suits my needs: this does). The Pen is made of heavy plastic which I believe will last for years unless it is stepped on, etc. There are no springs to rust or mechanical parts to jam or break. The only worry I can see is losing the slide that seals the pen & advances the pellets. Easy solution: don't loose it.I have large fingers and I always end up dropping pellets to the ground while loading; even if found I won't use a dirtied pellet for fear of damaging the rifle barrel. The Pellet Pen is easily filled indoors & I loose nothing dropped. Once outdoors, I can load my rifle much more quickly and easily with no fumbling. The Pen holds 16 heavy weight pellets such as the Crosman 10.5 gr.Premier Domed and 19 alloy pellets such as the Gamo PBA Raptor. The lack of a pocket clip is surprising and would be a great addition to the convenience of this product. Overall: highly recommended.

Works great; tolerant of oversize pellets
Unlike the Crosman pellet pen also sold here and now at the same price, this Air Venturi product will accept .177 cal pellets that are slightly oversize, as many are. And it's transparent so you can see how many pellets are left; and it holds more of them; and it has a click-stop that at least attempts to give you some tactile feedback for each pellet dispensed. None of those are true for the Crosman. So this is the better choice of the two, and I find that it works well.

Great idea but lousy implementation
Thought I'd give this a try vs carrying a few pellets in my non-trigger hand while I'm trying to take down a rabbit. Overall, I'm not that impressed. First I can only get 18 of the Gamo pellets loaded in the pen, not sure if they are longer than others or what; but that's all that fits. Next, if anything snags the clip, pellets are quickly dumped out. Once I slipped it in front pocket of jeans and the clip caught on my belt loop or shirt as I pulled it out and next I knew I had a pocket full of pellets and rabbit got away. Found that slipping into side of back pocket works better until you sit down and then may break it. Which gets me to the cheap plastic construction - just not that durable for carrying around while hunting. For the price it would be nice if tube was made out of thin wall aluminum or steel. Would also be better if actually had a clip so could slip in shirt pocket and stay there like an ink pen! I've bent over and dumped it out onto the ground a couple of times, loosing some pellets this way as well. I've also found it inconvenient having to rotate the pen around so I can get my finger/thumb onto the clip to slide a pellet out. I'd like to grab it regardless of rotation and get a pellet loaded. Seems like I have to have it just so to load a pellet. Wasting time reloading means the bunny gets away or it's suffering until I close in for a clean head shot. Best I can say for it is it's better than holding pellets in my hand or rattling in the tin can. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a better product and toss this out soon as I find it.
