Q: Can you put leds and lights into this model?

Yes. There is even a lighting kit available on eBay. Other lighting kits are also available from aftermarket companies. And there are superdetailing corrective pieces available on Shapeways. The model itself is adequate. The lights and superdetailing additions will just make it look even better.

Q: How do you know where to drill holes for lighting?

There aren’t any clear spots or indents for it. You just have to use your judgement as to what looks good or try and find some reference photos from the studio model. Just be sure to use a small enough bit to stay in scale. Also some of the side walls are double walled.
