AbsorbineVeterinary Liniment Liquid, Topical Relief for Muscle, Joint & Arthritis Pain, 16oz Bottle

I first began using Absorbine Vet' Linament in 1964 when I was an excercise boy at both Detroit Race Track and Hazel Park. Riding extremely high-strung Thoroughbreds that were purposely kept "on edge" between races, the horses were a thousand pounds of pure muscle anxious to show their power when ridden. I fell or was thrown dozens of times, land on the dirt tracks which were made up of a few inches of soft dirt that covered a concrete base. I used the veterinery linament to massage the horses' legs and figured if it was good for these powerful animals them maybe it would help with all the contusions I'd get whenever my skinny little body hit the track. I never suffered broken bones, but I usually felt no pain or very little the next day after rubbing Absorbine into the inflamed and sore areas of my body; ideally, you should wrap the inflamed area if possible. I've been using for all the sports I've played since 1963. I recently massaged some into my wife's back which has microfractures from her tail bone to her cervical bones. She's been seeking relief for nearly two years and this morning she told me she felt better than she has in years. No matter what your age, Absorbine Linament will not disappoint. Note: Veterinary Linament is a lot more powerful than the Absorbine Junior that's sold in most drug stores.

A good type of Liniment to use!

This is a good ointment, but I normally use their gel which I like better. This is a liquid and can be applied all over your body for aches and pains. The gel smells like spearmint and goes on easier. I bought this by accident because the bottle looks very similar to the gel. But this is also a good product and helps with minor aches and pains. I wear surgical gloves when applying it. As liniments go, this is a good product. I still prefer the gel but this will be put to good use. Nice smell. And not over powering or too weak. Just right.

I use this to clean my horses feet. She keeps having problems with all the rain we have had lately. I clean and spray several times a week to keep them dry. This is also good for sore muscles for humans as well as horses from what I hear. I have bought this on Amazon as well as Tractor Supply. Amazon sells a smaller bottle than Tractor Supply it is also a few dollars more because the bottle is a little bigger.

It does work. I had to rewrite my review. You should shake it up when you get it. It does have a strong smell so if you using it on your shoulder it may burn your eyes a bit. But omg I needed this. I suffer real bad with joint pain. I have Lupus and suffer f I'm joint and muscle pain all over my body. A friend of mine told me about they use this for their horses and for themselves as well. Well it works. Next time I will get the gel form because is a bit watery for me but it does work. Thank God!!!!!

This stuff smells terrible, it has a very strong odor of acetone, which is nail polish remover.I applied it with cotton squares but not sure if this stuff works.My dad has the gel and it smells so much better and stays on your skin.

Our family has been using this product for over 40 years on our own bodies & it works very well. I know it says for horses but friends of ours that had horses at the time said they found it to be very effective on humans as they were using it on their own muscles. It's much more effective than Absorbine, Jr that you can buy over-the-counter which is a watered down version of Absorbine. I would be careful using on people with very sensitive skin only trying it first on a small area first. Please wash your hands thoroughly after rubbing it on & keep away from your eyes. But it is a very good product.
