Q: Can you use this flashlight with rechargeable batteries?

use both the four AAA conversion to C and the one AA to C adapters in these. Work fine with the rechargeables I've used. Had a lot of AA rechargeable and chargers for them and saw they could be put to use in my C and D cell Maglites. No need to purchase C or D rechargeables or their charger. Alkalines have claimed a few of my flashlights through leakage.

Q: Can I use lithium ion batteries?

Those batteries if you can find them are expensive and usually 3.6 volts. 3.6+3.6+3.6=10.8 volts. Do you want to put that in a flashlight designed for 4.5 volts. Read the warranty.

Q: Is it possible to buy replacement LEDs?

Yes. Contact the manufacture direct.

Q: About this lamp in the prices for the 3 cell batteries they said 611 lumens and in the description said 490 lumens , what is the correct

The 611 lumens should be for the 3 c cell and the 490 lumens should be for the 2 c cell. I have both models. The 3 cell is brighter, and the flashlight is longer. The 2 cell is very nice if you want a very compact light. It is still very bright, and they both are rated for long battery life. Our local Home Depot had the 2 cell ml50l on clearance for $24.00. Our local Lowes no longer carries any of the larger Maglites.
