Q: How do you pick a rods casting action, size (how long it is), and line 1-12wt.

Be real, please! One selects vehicles according to intended use. Same with fishing outfits. Tarpon can destroy a 12 wt. because those fish are big and strong. And rare is the opportunity to fish a 1 wt. except in small creeks for 6 inch, colorful Cutthroat trout.

Q: How do you contact aventik for warranty service? There is no information on the website. Is this a real company?

Amazon sells these rods which are more expensive than the Maxcatch and usually a bit higher quality and the advantage of single foot guides. I have three of these and have liked the ultralight ones and go a half to one size heavier in line because line sizes are rated upon a 30 ft. length of line. Most of your casting with ultralight outfits will use 20 ft. of line + leader. I bought a 9 ft., so called for European style nymph fishing; an extra piece is included to make the rod into 10 ft., excellent for use in a boat to keep line from entanglement in propeller of electric motor...just a longer reach for line control. Marked 3 wt. but casting is much improved with a DT 4 line, floating or clear intermediate.
