I bought this OXO Good Grips Classic Ice Cream Scoop to replace my old one, which had a plastic lever that broke after only a couple of years. We eat ice cream pretty regularly in this house, so when my old scoop bit the dust, I was very disappointed. A basic spoon just doesn’t cut it when you’re trying to get a perfectly round scoop with the right serving size. So naturally, I turned to Amazon for a new one.Let me tell you, this scoop is a game changer. First, it has a metal lever, so no more worrying about it breaking on me after a couple years of use. I finally found the perfect ice cream scoop! This works perfectly, is dishwasher safe, is the perfect size, and is sturdy. It scoops ice cream with no problems and doesn't have a gross coating that will rust or peel off like others. I was so happy with it I bought the smaller version to use for my cookies!

I have other OXO kitchen utensils and cookware, I like the brand. So I was pleased to see this was one of the more highly rated.I got the one that is just a scoop, not the one with the thumb press lever.It's just a nice, simple ice cream scoop, that is the perfect size. I didn't want something too short, and I wanted one with a good grip. Bonus that it's dishwasher safe, even though I hand wash it. Some reviews mentioned it being heavy, for me, it's the perfect weight.In my opinion, this is another OXO kitchen win.
