A real Piece of (pricey) Junk! A "Wallet Claw" that needs returning and reengineering.
The Claw (“As seen on TV”) is a total disappointment starting with unpacking. The one-sheet instructions fail to mention that the claw is wrapped in plastic that needs to be unwrapped before the instructions take effect. Unwrapping the claw from its plastic bag is not easy. I had to unscrew 10 tiny screws to remove the top of the machine. The plastic that encases the claw is wedged inside and can only be cut-off with scissors. I made sure not to slice any wires and imagine that a more zealous and frustrated customer may accidentally cut a wire. Once the plastic was removed and the claw was freed, I screwed back the tiny screws that didn’t lock due to the cheap plastic threads. Once the batteries (not included) are in place, the switch is switched “ON” and a plastic coin (supplied) is inserted into a slot, the machine plays funfair music that is repeating itself. The frail joysticks failed to go back and forth, sideways, nor up but the “down” movement works. Results: The Birthday boy was disappointed, but not as much as his father who had to spend time wrapping the toy and returning back to sender. Gladly, Amazon will ensure that justice is served and our money is returned to us. Not a recommended purchase to say the least.

Cheap, broken and not fun to operate
This machine didn’t last 24 hours. First we had to open it and cut the wire for sound because it’s so loud that it was making us very irritable. Secondly, the grip of the claw is really weak, it did not grab a single candy and the only toys suitable for it to grab was those from kinder surprise chocolate eggs... that cheap!Thirdly you do not control when to close or open claw so it’s really hard to grab something, my children were just disappointed and me angry at spending that much money on such crap. Don’t buy it!

Win for the kids
Kids love this thing! It is smaller than I expected and loud (it plays music) but nothing some tape over the speaker won’t fix. A little overpriced, I’ve seen them cheaper elsewhere.

Very Fun and Entertaining Machine... With Some Modifications.
This is a very fun little toy, and you can easily waste a lot of time playing with it, but only after you have made a few modifications.Firstly, the internal speaker is insanely and annoyingly loud. I solved this problem by opening the bottom of the machine and adding a small switch (see photos) to turn off the speaker when I don’t want to hear the music for 15 minutes solid.Secondly, the claw has a hard time picking up some things and this is mostly due to the fact that it has no grip on the ends of the claw prongs. This is solved by a single dip into some Plasti Dip (see photos) that you can pick up at a hardware store for a few bucks. This effectively solved any issue with it picking up just about anything. I initially feared that some things would be too heavy, but I’ve even managed to pick up a Cadbury egg (see photo) with it that I couldn’t before I Plasti Dipped the claw prongs. I’ve also been able to pick up small plush items and fun size candy bars that I couldn’t before.Overall, this is a fun little machine and it can be made into a better one with a couple of inexpensive modifications. I can not attest to its durability, but so far it’s working like a champ. I will update my review in the future if the machine fails, for any reason. I gave it four stars because of the changes I had to make to fix its biggest issues, but now it’s an awesome little machine. Hope this helps any of you out there who might be on the fence about purchasing one of these.*UpdateI have seen several people asking if this machine will accept real coins, and the answer is yes! Quarters work the best, but any denomination will fit with the exception of a half dollar. Real coins work better in the machine than the plastic ones that it came with, which tend to get stuck.

Does not work
This was purchased as a xmas gift for my 6yr old son. I put batteries in it when opened on xmas day and it did not work. I assumed because the batteries must be dead. I finally got around to purchasing new batteries today. Put them in and….still does nothing. Unfortunately was a xmas gift the packaging has since been tossed, so now we are stuck with this broken piece of plastic
