my husband is a pasta lover, but he has some health issues so I only prepare whole grain pasta for him. After learning about the extra chromosomes in modern wheat (all of which is pretty much genetically modified), I decided to try the Einkorn, which is like the original heirloom of heirlooms. I teach classes in growing heirloom veggies (heirloom tomatoes, yum!), so I wanted to try this. My husband LOVED it, and so did I. (We've used the spaghetti, too). It has a lovely texture, a very mild taste, and is no different to cook. You can do your own research on the health questions if you're interested, but the quality & taste alone would have made my decision. We already preferred whole grain to plain pasta, but we honestly like the einkorn best of all.

Delicious, cooks quickly, and contains 5 grams of fibers vs. the typical 2 grams. Highly recommend.

Yummy !! Love being able to eat pasta again that I can feel good about. This pasta cooks up well and holds up well to any flavor I add to it. I boiled it, and bake it for mac and cheese..It did not fall apart at all. Did not become flavorless. The left overs were heated again in the oven and still the pasta retained its shape and flavor. So happy with this purchase.

I have loved the Jovial Einkorn pasta for several years as my son is gluten sensitive, but has no issues with this. I would have given it 5 stars in the past. The picture is a picture of the non-whole whole wheat penne that I ordered a couple of months ago. Literally every box fell apart like this and was unusable. I ordered the whole wheat penne this last week and used it today. It held up much better, but still 1/3 of the noodles fell apart. This is cooking them at medium-low to medium temperature. I don’t know if they’ve changed their formula or the boxes get shaken up so much because they aren’t packed with cushioning when being shipped, but I was very disappointed. I’ve been buying this product for years and this has never happened before, but this is two shipments in a row. It is only partly usable.

While this pasta needs closer watching for doneness than more common durum wheat pastas, the trade off is that you get an ancient strain of wheat into your system. The taste is pretty good, but in the space of one minute it goes from al dente to mushy... so watch it, test it, and pull it from the hot water as soon as it is done!!!

I wanted to see for myself whether this type of wheat wouldn't bother me and whether IMO, the style of wheat and not so much Gluten but the type of gluten was more the culprit . After 6 or more meals of it so far. I would say It's far less problematic as far as Gastrointestinal problems go than Newer Wheats and GMO wheats. Is it science...well sure no. But I have tested over and over if regular wheat gives me problems and every time it did. This, One day did but I also had some reguler bread that day so inconclusive>The Pasta itself Tastes good. I wish it wasn't whole what but It tatses far better and has better texture than ANY of the gluten free pastas, whether rice/corn based or Like chick pea or other... I hate them. This was very satisfying even if it wasn't like the highest quality regular pastas madeThe on;y problem with it can be, It's very fragile when cooked (and even before) The Linguini has a hard time staying whole but the penne is better but still fragile. But that's my only complaint. Ohhhh... Yeah the shipping of it sucks, The individual packages were crushed both times. Once was shipped ina biox and once was shipped in an envelope. Anyway, Overall I'm very happy to eat it

I love the taste and texture of this product. Easy to cook al dente, sticks to pan a lot less than normal wheat based pasta and my body simply enjoys eating it. I'm starting to see EinKorn pasta's at a health food CO-OP 10 miles from my house, but buying 6 packs from Amazon is the way to go for me - saving time and gas money.
