I was skeptical of this tool, then started using it and realized how dumb I was for not getting it sooner. I bought an extra blade but have yet to use it. The original one has lasted thus far around 30 cuts. Cuts are clean, easy and safe. No mess anywhere. Worth every penny in my opinion.

This PVC cutter is amazing, I had been using a hacksaw before, so this tool is amazingly superb. It cuts, clean and fast with no need to sand or smooth the edges, I love it. 😃

I purchased these to redo my pools hard plumbing on 1-1/2” S40 pvc. The first two cuts I made I had to beat the head to get the cutter blade to release. I probably made around 30+ cuts. I don’t think any of these cuts were straight 90deg cuts. They all had angled cuts between 10-25deg cuts. Sometimes I had to recut the pipe to get it square enough to use. Twice I had the new pipe actually break and snap right at the end of the cut on the last squeeze. I will not purchase this brand again. 1/26/24 Edit.. Customer service was excellent. They sent me a new 2-1/2” cutter asap and it actually cuts nice and straight. Perhaps my first item had a flaw and customer service made it right.

These worked amazing for me! I had to cut a bunch of 2" pvc and they worked flawlessly.

Bought this tool because it had some cool features like quick-release blade replacement, and came with an extra blade.Cuts though rubber, silicone, PVC, etc. hoses effortlessly with precision. Incredulously clean cuts that professional quality craftsmen would be proud to show off.Tried cutting some stainless steel braided PTFE hoses, cuz you know, E85 is MOPoWA-babeh, and these were the best cutters I had in the toolbox. Got jammed up. Kinked the line. Couldn't actuate the reset mechanism and the blade quick release was stuck. Had to send it. Blade snapped. Now the tank has a mix of pump 93, 75% ethanol blend, and some trace amounts of red organic bio-fuel.5/8" PTFE fuel line:1Liberation PVC cutters:0Couldn't get the shattered blade pieces out of the tool, even after removing the blade retention pin.Galaxy brain: -1The product description really should mention that the blade isn't sharp enough and material not strong or hard enough to cut through 5/8" braided stainless steel hoses. That's like...the same as 1-5/8" PVC right? Same-same, but different?

Nicely packaged -- a thoughtful (and utilitarian) touch to use the three rolls of PTFE (aka Teflon) thread tape as padding to stop the contents moving during shipping. The tools themselves are reasonably sturdy and not of a terrible quality and the package provides a good combination of tools. The description says "up to 1-1/4-inch" and "cuts various plastic materials (PVC,CPVC,PP-R, PEX, PE, Rubber Hose etc.)" but I purchased for use on just two sizes of PVC (1/2" and 3/4") and didn't find it easy to produce a consistent square cut on just a few cuts of either size. Not even securing the pipe in a grove on a benchtop, to keep it straight and prevent moving, gave better results and in an effort to cut all the way through the 1/2" PVC pipe in one go I got my hand a nasty pinch for my troubles. The tool is not of the ratcheting type so, if you can't cut all the way through in one go, there will be movement and the cut produced is unlikely to be parallel all the was round or orthogonal to the length of the pipe). The movement may be less on pipes that fill the jaws/cup and your technique may improve with practice. For a very small number of cuts over time it may be worth persevering but I'm inclined to seek out an inexpensive alternative with a ratcheting design. Impressed enough overall with the brand though that I will definitely check out if they have such an offering.UPDATE 19-FEB --- adding a star for quality of manufacturer/seller response.Very impressed with the sellers interest in the feedback and in making it right. As I mentioned in my initial review the difficulty was one of usability (especially for infrequent home use) and the lack of an ratcheting offering by the same brand for a reasonable additional outlay (there was a huge step up in price for the least expensive ratcheted version, which was as expensive as the larger and more expensive option that could handle wider pipes).The seller followed up to understand the usage challenges to see if they could help but unfortunately I'd glued the cuts as I'd finished the project. However, as part of my response I gave some feedback about the usage challenges and benefit of a ratcheted option at a price point reasonable for those who would use infrequently (with comparisons of price for options available from lower cost hardware retailers). They appear to have taken that to heart with a significant price adjustment for the lowest cost ratcheted product they provide, so I will be returning and getting one of those instead.Clearly, this is a seller that has great interest in the quality of the products they offer, understanding customer feedback/concerns and then providing exceptional customer service to make it right. The products have a good build quality and I would look very favorably on purchasing from this seller for any future needs.

Even though I haven't used this yet I will be using it before long and it's going to work just fine. It's well made, no plastic parts on this one.

Really liked this during the dozen or so times I've used it. I love making things with PVC and this made it so much easier. Unfortunately, there is now a spot on the blade where it has bent and it no longer makes a clean cut. I'm trying to decide whether to get a replacement blade for it or try a different brand. I definitely expected this one to last a lot longer than it did. It's not really been used a lot and I've not used it on anything but the PVC. Really disappointing.

Habe PE Rohr 20mm geschnitten. Vorher mit säge versucht, ist aber mit Säge nicht perfekt für Rohrverbindungen. Mit der Zange funktioniert das super, so ist der Schnitt gerade und die Verbindung sitzt perfekt. Übrigens, günstige Messing Verbindungen gibt es beim RST Versandhandel.

Good thing! A lot better than a pair of scissors for sure. This thingy makes is straight finally :)Have no use of the extra cutters atm, but really nice to have. Great simple to use kit at a great price. I'm happy!
