Mapei(Driftwood) - Grout Refresh - Driftwood - 240ml Bottle

This product is amazing! So easy to use and clean up! My counterslook new.Beware though...the colors are not represented well. I would suggest finding the Mapei color chart when choosing.

I was amazed at how great this product is. My bathroom floor grout was evidently not sealed properly on install and was discolored in some areas. I thought I would have to have to have it removed and replaced. So glad I gave this a try. This product does not look like paint once dried. It looks exactly like sandy grout. I did not find it difficult to apply at all. I purchased a good flat tipped artist brush and painted it on fairly neat. I removed any that got on the tile with a damp paper towel as I went. My large bathroom took only about four hours. I have scrubbed the floor about 10 times since applying and it still looks perfect. It took only about 1/4 bottle.

Freshened up our 10 year old grout on our tile floors beautifully. The directions on how to use was vague so I had to google best way to do the job. I am very pleased with the results.

I have Mapei grout on my tile floors. After a little over 3 years notice some of it has become considerably darker in color in places no matter what method I used to clean it. A friend told me about grout stain/sealer so thought would give it a try, though she used a different brand but similar product. Since my grout is Mapei and I was able to get the same color, which is driftwood, decided to give it a try and happy I did. I found working in sections approximately 9’ x 6’ worked best for me. I first cleaned the grout and let dry. I first tried applying it using the nozzle but had to keep cleaning and unclogging it so squirted it into a small cup and used a round fabric scrubber brush and that worked best for me, my grout is narrow and the brush fit well. Since my tile is smooth did not need to mist to remove the excess so used the “dry” method and it came off fairly easily using a microfiber towel. I did apply the grout refresh to the entire section working on and then went back to remove the excess, then used a swivel sweeper to pick up the debris. It is a bit time consuming and hard on the knees and wrists so have been doing small sections with several days between. My home is approximately 1850 sq feet and all tile floors, have done about half of it and so far used about 1/2 of the bottle so it goes a fairly long way, but have gotten a second bottle and will keep some on hand for any touch ups. So far rooms done holding up well and no stains .... and a few spills in the kitchen came right up.

I reviewed the product online, purchased it, followed the instructions and BAM! done. It's easy and I'm 73 years old. I did 300 SF in about 3 hours, start to finish. I had to stand up due to my knees, but it is a great product, made my wife happy after having selected the wrong color. Certainly would recommend this product to anyone who made a mistake or simply wishes to change old grout to a new color.
