Excellent, fresh, flavorful
I bought this primarily because I am trying to eat more plant-based foods. I resisted eating nutritional yeast even though it is supposed to make a great cheese substitute, primarily because a food named "nutritional yeast" just doesn't sound appetizing. (Some people call it "nooch"--that name still doesn't make the taste buds go all a-twitter).Well. I finally tried some--got a small quantity from a grocery store. And it was good! Surprisingly good. I got this package of Nunutritionals nutritional yeast, and it was even better than the grocery store brand. So far I have used it in a salad dressing (the yeast, oil, lemon juice, garlic, and tamari) and in a cheesy sauce to serve over cauliflower. It was spectacular in both. Also, ounce for ounce, this brand was more economical.Nutritional yeast has no cholesterol (sadly, dairy cheese does), and it has a lot of vitamin B12. It also offers other health benefits. If you have been wondering about nutritional yeast, as I was, don't be afraid of it. And if you are going to buy some, I recommend this brand.

Excellent taste.
This product tastes great and was a good value for the price. It is not fortified. That is clearly marked on the bag but we missed it when we ordered. Our problem, not theirs.

Looove At First Bite! ;-)
First, let’s start with the favor. I rockin LOVE the flavor of this noosh! It tastes better than Braggs—I have them both and there is no competition—THIS is my favorite brand! From a health aspect it beats the top brand again because it’s it has vitamin B5–that elusive vitamin that evades most nooshes by far.I love to add this to my popcorn. My recipe for addictive popcorn is MCT oil, sea salt, and a generous coating of this noosh. You’re welcome.

High Quality and Great taste!
I follow an almost Vegetarian Diet that includes mostly beans and legumes. I do enjoy meat on occasion but I feel better when I don’t eat it regularly. I was getting cramps and read that nutritional yeast is loaded with B vitamins and that’s what is lacking when you don’t eat meat. I eat this everyday and it adds so much flavor to soups, bean dishes, and over eggs. Highly recommended.

OMG so yummy. But get the non-fortified.
The fortified just goes overboard on some of these vitamins. And they're likely synthetic vitamins, not in the natural form, so it's a bit of a contradiction to add them to a health food product. My doctor recently tested my vitamin levels, and I was more than 10x too much B6 and B12...and I don't even take those vitamins! People sneak it into almond milk, protein bars, shakes, granola, and stuff like this. And to me that seems to bust the myth that your body just eliminates excess vitamins - it was in my blood test, my body had not eliminated them. So my advice to brands like this - only fortify with natural forms of vitamins (that are easier to absorb), and don't overdo it like this. Nutritional yeast has it's own health benefits, please don't try to turn it into a one-a-day.Having said that, oh my lord this is yummy. The dominant flavor is the nutritional yeast flavor, which I love. But there are notes of buttery cheese in here. Remember this is a natural product, it's not going to pack the same punch as movie theater butter, if you're new to natural foods you may need to give your palette some time to adjust. But I find it addictive, I could probably eat the whole bag in one sitting LOL! And it adds some salt taste with almost zero actual sodium. Great for popcorn, dips, sprinkle on fries (we make french fries out of sweet potatoes, parsnips, things like that), great for cheesy mashed potatoes. We like to make hummus out of squash, this would be great for a vegan cheesy hummus. Make sure to add it last, don't cook it or heat it too much or you'll lose the nutritional benefits. Taste is an easy 5 stars for me.For value...I normally find nutritional yeast for about $12-13 per pound at the local natural grocery store ($0.75 per ounce). This is slightly over $1 per ounce, so you're paying a bit extra for the flavoring, but it's still within average price range.

Tastey Yeast
Very good nutritional yeast. Excellent flavor, somewhat nutty and somewhat cheesy. Sprinkle on salads, sandwiches, cooked veggies and more. If little Avon, my darling daughter, loves it you will too!
