Massive upgrade from my Aeron
I had a Hermann Millar Aeron that I'd had for a couple of decades, the lumbar piece had split, the casters were scratching my hardwood floors. The Aeron was pretty much done and had been given great service. I needed a new chair.A good friend of mine had me over for Thanksgiving and while I was there, he showed me his new Mirra 2 chair and it started me off on a research jag on the Mirra 2.Everything I found out made me realize that this was the new chair I wanted. The only change I made was that I replaced the casters with rollerblade wheels. The chair was easy and quick to assemble, offers great support throughout, is silent and not at all distracting when I'm working or moving in the chair. The adjustments took me a minute but things like the adjustable chair depth are great (I'm 6'4" so I need the full chair depth extended) and the upgraded lumbar support is much better than my old Aeron — and it seems more durable. The chair is rock solid stable, looks great and is very very comfortable.I highly recommend this chair.

Hands down, the most comfortable and adjustable chair I have ever owned
I got this in my quest to replace my Herman Miller Aeron chair which was coming unwoven in the back. I am a bit above average size at, 6'2" and 220 lbs, and this chair is perfect for me. I tried several other less expensive chairs, and ended up returning them all. Let me tell you what is amazing about this chair: It's pretty obvious that just about everything is adjustable, but there are some advantages which are not apparent from the description...Built to last: I replaced the foam on my Aeron five times over five years, and when a woman's ring caught one of the threads in the back it all started coming apart quickly. While the front of this chair does still have a small strip of foam, it's better protected and since the leading edge of the seat is adjustable, it takes much less pressure. The back is also a plastic that bends and morphs as you move around, making both more durable but also ridiculously comfortable.Well-made: This chair feels like it was designed and made by Porsche, with everything fitting perfectly and feeling very solid. The plastic and small amount of foam give off no odors, and this chair is ready for heavy use from the time you take it out of the box. Assembly was so easy I don't think you can even really call it "assembly."Anyone who is hesitating, I can tell you you will not regret this purchase. I expect this chair to last me a decade at least, and that's less than a quarter per day for something your body will thank you for.

Uncomfortable Mesh
Prior to purchasing this chair, I had never sat in one with mesh material. I had read reviews, some negative, about the Mirra 2, but decided to go ahead and make the purchase since I believe a good chair is worth the cost, and I was hopeful it would be everything I had in mind. This chair came fully assembled and was ready to be put to work within minutes of opening the box. It looks beautiful and is a high-quality chair, but within minutes of sitting in it I began having tingling feelings in my legs. I can still feel tingling right now, while sitting in the Mirra 2, on the back of my legs from my thighs down to my knees, down my calves, and in the tops of my feet.I tried numerous adjustments, and even called customer service at Herman Miller to ask for help making adjustments to solve the issue. I followed all of their suggestions. After not being able to find any relief, I have decided that the mesh just isn't supportive enough.I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs, so I don't think I should be having issues with this chair. And considering the cost, there should be no question of comfort at all since my prior seat was a very cheap one and I didn't have any issues like this.My prior chair was an inexpensive one from an office store. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it wasn't very good ergonomically speaking. I slouched in it, and that led to back pain. The Mirra 2 is designed in a way that you can't slouch -- it keeps you sitting correctly -- and that is a good thing. But if I have tingling on my legs that I can't resolve, I can't sit it in all day. I notice this tingling constantly while sitting in this chair, and it is distracting. Sadly, this one will be going back and I'll try one of the other quality chairs that uses a cushion rather than mesh.

Frustrated with lack of adjustments.
I have had this chair for 2.5 years and I really want to love this expensive chair. I sit in it 8-10 hours a day and have become frustrated with the inability to adjust the lean of chair back. I have tried adjusting seat tilt and lower back support but cannot get find a way to feel supported while sitting up straight. After a long day/week I have started switching to my $99 desk chair for a change… not a comfortable chair either. Ugh!
