Improved the quality of cats life so much! Long post!
This stuff really does work. I was so skeptical about it as I read different things about it working and not working. My childhood cat who is 16 now was diagnosed with FHV at the start of 2024. She was really struggling very snotty, green snot coming out all the time, not sociable like she used to be and just overall not in a good way. Anti biotics wouldn’t work for her due to it been a viral disease. Me and my mum thought it was getting nearer the time to have to let her go :( which absolutely devastated me. The vets did agree that she would only get worse and we had to start having the dreaded conversation as a family. There is absolutely nothing the vets can do for this . I started researching absolutely everything to see what more we could do for her just to make her a little bit more comfortable if possible but obviously understood it was cruel to keep her alive when she was struggling . She is a Persian as well so it doesn’t help with her breathing with her been a flat faced breed. It just makes the whole thing even more difficult for her with her been Persian.Anyway I came across this stuff on different sites and thought I’d give it a try! I knew nothing would cure her but wanted to exhaust every option we had to make her better if we could ,to enjoy a bit more time with her if possible. She has now been on this powder for a month or so and it’s made a huge difference , she still is snotty some days but it does only seem to be one nostril that gets snotted up not both. She’s come back out of her shell again , socialising , liking a brush like she always did. She always loved her food never went of her food but she is back to being very greedy again like she used to be. It’s been so life changing for her. We also give her a steam room everyday in the bathroom with hot shower running so I’m not sure if doing both these things has helped. But I do think the lysine has really done something positive and I can’t explain how happy I am that she is a little more comfortable and we can keep her for a while longer. This works for some cats and not for others. I understand it can cause some long term effects but we didn’t really have no choice. It was let her go or at least just try something to help her and I’m so glad we got her this ! If your kitty is struggling with anything like a constant runny nose, sneezing, anything respiratory and your vet can’t do anything else for them give this a try you’ve got nothing to lose. £20 is nothing when your trying to help save your little feline :( I hope this keeps her nice and bright for a while and she doesn’t get worse but we can only try do our best for them. Xxxx

Made my sick kitten better
I brought this only because of the reviews that people had left on this I know most people and vets have said it’s not a great product as it does not do anything as tested but I will tell you I gave in and brought it as my little kitten kept getting unwell and sick with respiratory issues as she is a Persian but life has been so great for her after using this product I have had no issues since and no more vet visits she has put on good weight and her health has improved a lot I would definitely recommend this to anyone that’s worried about there cats health.

Good for feline herpes, but diarrhoea with blood.
The vet recommended this for my 5 month old kitten with feline herpes. The dosage information isn’t great, but it states a 1/3 teaspoon for an adult cat per day, I gave ours a 1/6 of a teaspoon over the course of a day in her food and it worked wonders for the herpes. Then after a week she started getting very lethargic with really bad diarrhoea containing blood. We took her straight off it as lethargy and diarrhoea are both listed side affects, after a few days she started feeling much better. This definitely worked for the herpes, but it’s clearly not for every cat.

Great immune support
My cat suffers with FHV and his eyes puff , gunk and he sneezes etc this as really helped him with all of those symptoms. It's great for FHV or just as a immune support. It's unflavoured so easy to administor. The instructions are unclear so I know every cat is different but I give mine a 1/4 teaspoon in his food on a morning or in his treats. The spoon measurements are just baking ones ..I find it easier to get the dosage right that way.

They’ve changed the granules. Now very big and dark. My cats won’t eat them now.
My two cats both have a condition called Calicivirus. I have bought this brand in the past and it was a very, very fine white powder. Tasteless and very easy to mix into wet food. The measuring spoon in it makes no sense either. It says on the container to give 0.25 mg each meal up to 3 times a day but don’t exceed the dose but the lowest line marker is 1mg going up to 10mg. So you’d be better off trying to buy an exact 0.25 scoop for cooking or something. They’ve changed it so much that this is now in the bin. The granules are now much bigger and more coarse and you can’t blend fully into wet food. Both cats took one sniff and refused to eat and my cats love their food. They’d always eat it before when it was the extremely fine white powder.I can’t return it so total waste of money. I’ve no idea why they’ve changed this for the worse. It was definitely the exact same brand. So I can’t recommend based on my cats now refusing it. I’m going to try the liquid drops instead and I also buy L-Lysine chew treats for them.

It might be useful, but I’m not sure how to use it.
The instructions indicate that the daily dosage for a cat is 0.5g, and it’s very thoughtful to include a scoop in the package. However, the scoop’s minimum marking is 2.5g, and the advertisement suggests using one full scoop per use (about 10g). How should consumers accurately measure the required 0.5g dosage using a scoop with a minimum scale of 2.5g? The usage is quite puzzling, especially since the effectiveness of the product with this dosing method is unknown.
