Hook and loop is the generic for Velcro. They are the same thing.

Q: Is it machine or hand washable? What is washing instructions?

I don’t see any instructions. I just machine wash mine then wear around home because I haven’t had success washing any hat I’ve ever owned and expect it to look crisp afterward- at least not to my standards.
