Highly Recommend – Life-Changing and Empowering!
I’m currently in week 4 of following Dr. Godfrey's Hormones book, and I’m already down 16 pounds! At first, it felt a bit complicated to figure out, but once I purchased the tools and items I needed and got into the routine, it became surprisingly simple. If I can do it, anyone can! This book is not just about weight loss—it’s a valuable resource for anyone looking to reset their hormones, navigate menopause, or improve their overall health. Even if weight isn’t a struggle, the insights and strategies are incredibly helpful. I absolutely recommend this book to every woman. It’s truly empowering and has been a game-changer for me!

Mixed Feelings
I was excited to find this book and to read this book. Things make sense when you read but then they don’t. I am very familiar with Keto lifestyle and was excited to tweak it towards my hormones. However, this is rather frustrating to finish the book and not to have a plan. I am apple, so.. what do i eat today? The cover states 4 week plan. There is no plan. Just very vague suggestions. Recipies are also confusing and not easy. I am not regretting reading the book but never felt more confused about what I should actually eat today.

Great Hormone Reset and Habit Changer!
I love this book and the information in it is very helpful. I have done Keto before and was very loose with it but the Gottfried protocol pinpoints specifics for women and it is just a 4 week minimum reset, not keto forever which I like a lot. Dr. Gottfried guides step by step on how to teach/train your body to have metabolic flexibility which I think is key for everyone, especially people over 40 (ability for your body to use both carbs and fat as energy). I’m in week three and feel awesome, thinking clearer and have a lot of energy, oh and I’ve lost 6 lbs in fat only. I’ve been strict with it, following all the tips and tricks to a T because I was ready to do it and do it right! Thank you Dr. Gottfried!!

This Is The Book We've All Been Waiting For!!!
I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this book for months! I have had some success with Keto diet and felt a million times better on it than I thought I could feel now that I'm in my fifties and post-menopause.But I was not getting the results I had hoped for or read about online.Well THIS BOOK EXPLAINS IT ALL! I finally have the "golden ticket" to my weight loss goals and how to manage my hormones(feelings).I stayed up all night reading it to the end and loved it! I feel heard, seen and as though I've had an insight into what's been going wrong with my attempts to lose weight and feel normal again. And best of all the path to fix it!I love Dr. Sara and have read all her previous books, but this time around it feels like she really put herself in the mix and tried it all as a scientist/doctor to figure out what the heck goes on with our hormones, and how what we eat plays a vital role in how we feel, look, respond, and get healthy! Thank you so much!A must read for any woman who hasn't been able to unlock the secrets of managing weight loss and hormones.

Weight loss after 35
This would be a good book on a couple of conditions. I would want a doctor who could check my hormone levels and my family doctor said I would need an endocrinologist for that and they are very difficult to get in with. The big issue for me is she was pushing a modified keto diet and that's not the type of food plan I am interested in so I sent the book back. I want to change my diet for life but I have never be interested in Keto. At 62 I would love to have my hormone levels checked because they impact so MANY areas of your health.

Exhausting
This book is everything wrong with weight loss culture. Complicated, strict “protocols” with constant measuring and tracking that leave you unable to think about anything but food. “No cheating!” says the author, but the reality is that successful weight loss is a series of small, imperfect victories practiced consistently and interspersed with slip-ups about which we must be kind and forgiving to ourselves. This book is all the same stuff with some hormone science to back it up. The recipes require weird ingredients and I can already imagine their almost-full packages growing old in my pantry. I feel like I read almost every weight loss book out there before finding success and peace, so let me save you the trouble: eat a little less, and eat less frequently. If you’re not feeling too hungry, skip a meal, and your body will thank you. Save sugar and flour for special occasions. Move a little each day even if it’s only 5 minutes, but aim for 30. Then go out and live your life. Books like this lead women to make tortured decisions about food, like my girlfriend who ordered a small bowl of unsweetened whipped cream for dinner the other night. Ladies, we can do better.
