Works well, but draws alot of power.
I put two of these into my daughters VW Beetle. It definitely gave a much needed speed boost, and with the added torque she could probably drive up the side of a house. However, it draws a good amount of current, so much that no thermal fuse available for kids cars are compatible. I finally did a thermal fuse delete and the problem improved but still shuts off the car under high torque situations. You should put a higher capacity battery in to get longer ride times as stock batteries die quickly

Gears did not mesh and would skip under even light loads
The video shows all you need to know. Gears are grinding away and then with a little push the car drives for a few seconds until inertia takes over. Motors were unlabeled so difficult to tell what they actually used but they seemed fine. It's just the gearbox that was a problem.

THEY ARE FAST !! :)
I put two of these on my nieces Olaf 6v 4 wheeler with a custom rear axle. No joke it hauls butt. With two wheel drive it almost never gets stuck nor does burnouts. and this is with an 18v dewalt battery powering it, which by the way is still way under powering the set up. I tried riding it, but didn't like it. then again I'm almost 200 pounds. Update... Olaf is still rolling strong on 18 v so I ordered two more for McQueen and now i have one that Carries me no prob. just needed smaller wheels and a full steel frame. Olaf is faster due to the bigger wheels, however I used these same two motors on my buddies Jag, and it didn't sound as good going up a slight hill on 18 v. The wheels on the Jag were a little bigger still, but he hasn't had problems and all 3 can do wheelies and have amazing traction.I'm adding because I see a lot about them breaking, here's why...User error mostly. They can strip if your child bucks the car so tell them not to and they should be fine. (buck= pressing the on button and then quickly releases followed by another quick press and realease.) The only clicking I have heard was when my brothers 200 pound friend got on it without knowing the proper techniques and drove it across the yard. It's fine and still works great. Again these are 18v, I tried 36v it did not like that at all so I wouldn't push it much more then 18v, which is already between 4 to 8 mph depending on wheel size. Wheel size plays a huge part in how well these hold up. Smaller is slower but has no problem with hills. On my friends jaguar with fairly large wheels you could here the motors slow down up hill in the grass. Not that it was an issue for me but with big wheels u are more likely to break gears or burn out the motor if you are only running 1, it's carrying too much weight up hill and or it's being bucked. Thats not saying these are bad just letting you know the limits and if you want top end, low end suffers on any motor that is not paired with the proper drivetrain.

Great so far!
Motor and gear box is great thus far. Got it as an upgrade. The gears have lubricant grease but not thoroughly spread on to gears and spindles. Wiped up the gears and added white lithium grease to the teeth’s and any friction points to help the wear and tear stay low. Will see how long these last. Will update review in future.
