I’ve been bike riding since I was 7. I’m 70 now and I finally found a pair of shoes that fit my luau feet! That means wide! I had no idea that they made a bike sandal. These are perfect for Hawaii. I don’t use clips so the plastic bottom of the shoe and my plastic pedals were slippery. I ordered some rubber pedals from Amazon and in the meantime I glued some non skid rubber on my plastic pedals. Taking it for a test ride today.I also wanted to stretch the material in the shoe to fit an insert so I put a Kirkland kombucha bottle in the shoe. It worked great!I hope this helps someone.I ordered a woman’s 8.5 that’s what I usually wear. I love them!update: They fit better without adding an insole.New update. I rode 30 miles yesterday and my feet wanted to go further! I just want to know if this bike sandal maker also makes bike seats?

They are heavy and sturdy, I love them

I was really pleased with these shoes. They fit well and are very comfortable for riding. They were considerably cheaper than most biking sandals I looked at so I wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised.

I obtained my pair at a deep discount through an online auction platform. Even at full price, these are roughly 62% of the current price of the Shimano SPD sandals; certainly an attractive alternative. Still, in terms of why one purchases cycling sandals — more air over the foot — these leave about 70% of the foot covered, as the instep is a sheet of smooth fabric between foot and straps, and these sandals have a toe cap. There are pros and cons here; the toes are more protected from brush and road debris, the fabric sheet means one can take miles-long rides without concerns about strap abrasion, and the foot is better protected against sunburn than one would be with Shimanos. I ride in Florida, and wonder if these will be cool enough in summer (I also wonder about the frequent cautions not to put these in water, as it seems one would need to get them wet to wash/sanitize them between rides). I have them now and do enjoy them, although — all things considered — when they wear out or become too manky for continued use, I have already decided that my replacement pair will be the Shimanos.

I actually bought these used on Amazon for $20. They were new, maybe tried on once but you couldn't tell it. Fit great, I'm a women's 8.5.

I bought these to ride a long summer ride. Amazon recommended I size up I should not have. They were too big and too wide for me but I wore them anyway as they arrived the day before the ride and did not seem too bad until I got on the bike. While biking I could not get the clips off the pedal as my feet would just twist inside the shoe. Probably my fault for keeping that size but they were dangerous for me. I loved being able to bike without socks though so I am searching for a similar pair actually made for women.

I wear a ladies 8.5 in shoes. I ordered size 3940. With the straps on top I first opened all the straps. put them on. Adjust the top straps then do the heel strap. When I take them off. I undo the heel strap. While riding I may have to adjust top straps do to feet swelling from the heat.

Purchased these as beach rides were heating up with regular clip-on cycling shoes on mountain bike. Velcro allows for snug fit to your foot size. Also helping with my toes going numb with regular cycling shoes. I may try them out on my road bike too!
