Gorgeous, but know what you're buying.
This is exactly what I wanted - pure, food grade vanillin. It's not vanilla extract or vanillin zucker/sugar, nor is it ground vanilla bean powder; it's pure vanillin.I use this to make vanilla sugar because sticking beans into sugar and waiting just doesn't deliver the insane vanilla flavor I'm looking for. I mix 1/4 teaspoon vanillin per 1 cup white granulated sugar and use that as vanilla flavoring in recipes when I don't want visible flecks from beans or color from extract. That makes a vanilla sugar that's roughly .5% vanillin by volume, which I feel would be too strong to use as a 1:1 sugar replacement in a recipe but is an amazing sweet vanilla kick sprinkled on a dessert or incorporated into a recipe. (Pure vanillin tastes like burning. Also, don't inhale it. Also also, keep it away from your eyes.)

Welp, it's vanillin alright
For anyone confused. Please understand that this is pure vanillin crystals, the flavor and aromatic chemical that makes vanilla taste and smell like vanilla. Vanilla extract has 1% vanilla in it. If you taste this powder straight, it will absolutely taste terrible and even burn. It is not vanilla sugar. It's the chemical that makes up vanilla and it is very concentrated.Diluted and sweetened, it tastes great! And it smells so strongly of vanilla/sugar cookie. I opened the bag and a little dust of it got on my hair and I smelled like vanilla the rest of the night. I got this for scenting soaps and fragrances. I think it will do really nicely as it is water, oil, and alcohol soluble.

It's accurately labeled
It's "strongly vanilla" in the way the sun is "very warm".It's accurate, but it doesn't capture the magnitude of what's being discussed.Don't taste it directly, or it'll just taste sour and almost painful. Wear gloves when handling it and the scent will wash off a bit easier afterwards. Work with it under something like a range hood to filter any particles out of the air to keep your kitchen from being fragrant for days.I dilute 15g with 200g of sugar to create a decent vanilla sugar for tea and such. It's not as nuanced as vanilla bean because it's just one part of the flavor, but that's not the fault of this product. The only caveat to this product is that the packaging isn't resealable, and it lets some of the scent bleed through. You'd be advised to keep the bag in a sealable container that's also contained in another sealable container, or slowly your pantry will entirely smell of vanilla.

If you love vanilla flavor, buy this! Sugar free and Keto friendly!
I stumbled across vanillin in a spice store many years ago. The container of it lasted a long, long time, but I lost it after moving. It made me realized buying vanilla flavor at the store is a waste of money, especially since most of it is vanillin anyhow, just a lot less. Note that this vanillin is the molecule in the vanilla bean that gives it it's flavor, and that's it's very bitter so you will absolutely need to add a sweetener to it.I add a measured "dash" of this to my green veggie smoothies along with some monk fruit extract to make them more tolerable. It's so strong that it nearly overpowers the veggie taste completely!

Does not taste like vanilla
This is artificial vanilla called Vanillin. Does NOT taste anything like vanilla, very "Chemical" tasting. Was hoping to boost the vanilla flavor in sugar cookie dough and royal icing. Buyer beware...stick to natural vanilla.

Great product - but needs to be used VERY sparingly
Very satisfied with the product. But you need to use it VERY, VERY sparingly. A very small pinch is about right for a 1/2 liter desert.

As described
Packs a punch like pure vanillin should! Really good deal for how far it can stretch.
