I cannot use it all day. Why will I use it in the day time?
It needs to be on to pick up while electricity supply is gone. Otherwise, it will not work. It's just a battery cum live bulb. It will work in the battery as well as live electricity. It should contain a rectifier to switch AC to DC and store it in the battery. That's all. Its actually not an emergency lamp for sure. If there is a power cut in the day I should keep this light on predicting power failure. A simple emergency lamp will do this job more peacefully. Otherwise, the bulb built-in quality is good, perfect brightness during electricity is there. Gets dim when running in the battery mode.

Purchase with caution!!
Pictures r enough bt let me brief u.I bought it from ELLAR Store no doubt they r genuine n authorised seller (I bought last year as well from same seller) but today for my recent order I got a defective/refurbished bulb condition can be seen in pics (also blinking on back-up mode for few seconds n then glows in constant manner) I requested for refund bt just wanna alert others to be aware! They r selling used/returned items with tag of "new" product. 😔

Good brightness during power cut. Although I received a tampered product, works fine. I'll repost my review after a month of usage.I'm writing this after 4 months of using this product. Beginning the brightness was excellent during the power cut. As days rolled I could see the brightness getting dull. Now it brightness is very less, can be compared to a candle lit room or a phones torch with less brightness. Wish this Philips inverter bulb was a little more better. Lesson learnt: Don't post product review on electronic items too early.
