Very hard to make smooth. Diffucult to apply and remove due to sharp, brittle texture. Not very bendy so needs to be trimmed into tiny specks. Its not always possible to cut them. Some really seem more suited for resin pours than on nails. Does NOT lay flat on the nail. Some are too thick or chunky to use. All throw a bit of a green undertone, which I sort of hate. I like only transparent, irridescent and pastel gel nails or clear/clear pink and white frenchies. Green is not what I want on my nails! Can be sharp once top coat is on. Must be applied to wet base coat polish or uv gel glue/rhinestone glue then lay a top coat. Then you will have to use a large thick pad grit file or e- file to very carefully blunt off the sharp edges and poky bits (and there will be lots). After that you'll need to ABSOLUTELY use a 4 way buffing block to get a silky or smooth finish. Then you will need yet more top coat. Sometimes it is necessary to repeat these steps up to 3 more times to get the right placement. Sometimes none of it stays on and it disintegrates or balls up into a hard opaque mess. Your nails will have the texture of sandpaper sprinkled with glass shards is you don't. Even after managing to smooth it down it makes the nail shape bumpy. Only about 1/3 of the pieces actually bend or form to your nail. The rest are like hard bits. The soft pieces disintegrate easily and tend to look muddy needing removal.Lots of the product gets wasted or destroyed during this process. Usually you will be stuck with it until you get a new full set unless your nail tech is very good/experienced/fast. Personally I consider this product a permanent part of a nail extension. I would avoid putting it close to the nail bed as it will cause damage.If you encapsulate this, you will likely have to set in down and it will be very difficult to remove without pits. It does work wonders for adding strength. Sometimes the gel topcoat gets brittle over it and cracks leaving it exposed.Most salons won't touch it.It absolutely ruins the smoothness and shape of your nail extensions.Takes hours to put on completed full set. I stopped using it for these reasons.Once you apply it you are stuck with it because filing it off is hot. Brittle!

Someone else stated it was small and yes, they are correct! This is fine for the purposes I need it for (occasional nail design). Just wanted others to know how small the jars are in actuality!

They remind me of the cheap containers you get with mail kits but it will do. Just fair warning

Dont buy these. They dont come apart, so unless your nails or whatever surface fit the exact shape of these flakes or you want to individually tear them by hand (mortar and pestle did nothing!) go buy some real kuka flakes. Ive used both (for painting miniatures) and these ones here are worthless.

Beautiful color mixture but they are way too chunky. Huge pieces that need to be snipped down.
