Arrived late. Snails were dead. Will not be buying again

I ordered two of the 3-pack nerite snails. They were delivered fast and alive! I've never ordered live anything before, so I was very happy. They were healthy, beautiful specimens.

This is the second time I've bought Nerites from this seller. I have not been disappointed with any part of the transaction! They communicate the ship date so you can be on alert when the snails arrive. I acclimated the snails when they arrived and did exactly what instructions said. The first time I bought 6 and the second time I bought 3. All snails arrived alive. 1 from the first batch didn't survive the first week, but you'll have that. They do a great job of cleaning up algea, their patterns are really cool, and it's actually fun to watch them snail around.

Arrived late however the arrival date was especially HOT out. Great color, 2/3 are alive. 1 died in the tank. 1 has been buried under sand 3+ days. 1 hides during the day. Glass still has lots of algae which was why I purchased.

I'm happy with 'em! They can disappear for a bit in my aquariums decor but they've all survived the trip and then some. The second time was no fault of the seller, all three arrived dead on that occassion due to my unfortunate planning... When I ordered them in October it was extremely warm, and it seemed to be November was looking the same.Big missplanning on my part, two days before they arrived the temperatures suddenly plummeted enough to snow and as I expected, the poor things didn't move after the last 4 days now being accumulated to my aquarium.So no fault of the seller! I'll just wait until the Summer rolls around again to purchase some more.

The box arrived wet and I immediately knew there was going to be a problem. The snails were inside a little cup with a screw lid, like the kind they take urine samples in lol, but whoever packaged it did not screw on the lid correctly and all of the water leaked out. I’m sure this is not a common error… but it is what happened in my case. Luckily Nerite snails can live for a period of time without water so they were all alive and are still doing well to this day. They keep my tank nice and clean and are the best aquatic snails to have in my opinion.
