I bought this drive to upgrade my expanding work drive. On the second day of use, my computer froze and wouldn't respond, and the drive would disappear from my drives list until I forced shutdown to reboot. Of course, I would lose all my work up until that point. After reboot, it would show up. This continued to happen about once or twice daily. I mean it DAILY. Every single day!Because of the raving reviews, I thought I did something wrong with the installation, so I installed it in another slot, changed the initialization method, and changed the drive name and letter, but my laptop continued to freeze every single day. I quickly backed up all my files in google drive in case it wouldn't come back up. There were times one reboot would fit it and other times when it would not show up, no matter how many times I rebooted until the next day. There were even times it would not show up the next day. This drive gave me anxiety and nearly drove me mad. I missed some deadlines because of this drive.I'm writing this now because it's been a week since I installed its replacement, the Samsung 980 pro. The drive has not had any issues. My life is back to normal.My advice is don't cheap out. Don't buy this headache of a drive.

The SSD is working well but sometimes while working on the explorer suddenly the drive disappeared and I have to shutdown the laptop to detect it again, even restart is not working, should shutdown the system to detect it again

I have used Kingston memory before and always been very satisfied. This SSD was no exception, having purchased it to replace an aging 500 Gb drive. So far, no problems at all.

This is dram-less. That being said, if you have a use case for dram-less SSD storage, boom this is excellent value. I found two use cases for this and I bought two. They are both working excellently still. It's been a couple years now. Now my use case was portable cold storage of numerous large files that will only need to be read with very minimal writing to the drive. So keep that in mind. I'm not using these drives for game storage or operating systems. I just stick them in an external enclosure and throw them in my backpack and use it like a massive thumb drive.

Installed easily on my ASUS mb, but watch out for the NVMe 4.0 slots--some don't actually work unless you have a 12th gen intel CPU, so I had to put this in a 3.0 slot. Also, my PC didn't come with any of the motherboard screws, so I had to scrounge to find one to hold down this card, so make sure you've got the right ones before you order this or you'll be very annoyed when it arrives--these things flop around without the screw, you can't install it without one.Per was fine for the price--a huge step up from the WD Blue SATA SSD it was replacing. This is the OEM drive so it doesn't come with a license for the Acronis True software. I used Macrium Reflect Free Edition to clone my old SSD with no problems (liked it a lot, might actually buy it for my routine backup needs).

Ok so I had a somewhat old laptop (6 yo) that had OEM Windows 10 install. It has i7 6th gen processor and 16 gigs of ram, so even if it is old is not supposed to be a slug. But it was dragging because of the harddrive: a 1TB mechanical 5400RPM sllllllow disk. So being that we are carbon-footprint conscious and being the fact that the specs should be not that bad, I decided to get this SSD as I had previously put one on someone else's laptop with successful results.So proceeded to get this, I was able to do a Win10 fresh install (which by the way is revalidated by Microsoft automatically) after putting it on the laptop, and voila! Good as new! Laptop is superspeedy now, the mechanical disk was the one dragging the laptop. So now I have: a 6 year old laptop with a good processor and enough RAM that operates like a jet with this SSD! I got the 500G one as it was super cheap, left the previous Hard Drive on the laptop with all the previous files in there (no information was lost), and for around 60 bucks saved myself like 700 bucks (of the new laptop I was considering for the wife) and reduced carbon-footprint at the same time.Totally worth it for the price! Very satisfied.
