CIVIVIFixed Blade Elementum Knife 3.98" Blade, Contoured G10 Handles, Belt Knife with Leather Sheath,Tied Paracord Lanyard for Outdoor EDC C2104A

This is a beautiful knife, which is why I was tempted to get it. The black micarta handle scales with red accents are beautiful- especially, the surface pattern made by the contour shaping of the handle. The design of the knife and blade are also pleasing, as well as useful and very comfortable. It is very much a larger, more robust, fixed-blade version of their folding Civivi Elementum. The black leather sheath is well made, and sturdy, although, it would have been a nicer touch if they had dyed all the edges black, as well. It holds the knife quite securely, so there's no chance of it falling out, as long as it's buttoned in. The blade came extremely sharp, and ready to cut. The only drawback is the weight. It is quite heavy- at least twice as heavy as my Buck 102.

Excited to use as my new daily, about to put some mink oil on the sheath. Strong ad beautifully made. Civivi will have my support many times over, 4th knife from them. Hasn't let me down

Knife looks good. Showed up sharp. Fits the sheath well. I like the blade shape, thickness and handle fit, but those are all personal preference.

great value, good build

I like everything about this knife. Size, handle is good looking, comfortable, good quality and fits perfectly on my carry belt. The sheathe is a little more work to clasp shut than I think it should be but considering it's leather it should get easier. Only issue is I feel my knife was returned. The handle had slight wear marks where it rubs the sheath and the blade had residue on both sides like it was used to cut tape. I know it was not oil. Also in my experience civivi has platlstic around the packaging when they are new, maybe not on all their products. Despite that it is all so minor and I love the knife as is so much that I don't want to return it. Just wish I didn't pay full price for something that someone else already opened and very lightly used...I feel four stars is generous considering my concerns but I did not feel it was a typical experience and if I complained they probably would have addressed it appropriately.I almost tempted to buy the original elementum but I really don't need another knife at this point.

It’s always easy to take along.

It's light, sharp and not too big. It's a nice trade-off for my Buck Vanguard. It's just slightly shorter. As a rule, anything less than 4" I don't feel is good enough to carry. That sweet spot is between 4" and 5" for me and this fits right in that sweet spot. I also can't stand plastic or kydex sheaths for knives and I have a lot of nice fixed blade knives I wish I could carry but I won't carry a knife with a plastic or kydex sheath. It has to be leather or it goes in the drawer.

Great knife feels good in your hand and looks good, also a decent sheath.
